I see the King is wearing the more modern version of the Windsor uniform, rather than the knee breeches he usually wears.

justasking111 · 03/12/2025 22:52

The picture of William and Kate. Doesn't he look like a king in waiting now?

He just looks like an ordinary bloke to me 🤷🏻‍♀️

The tiara looks much better from the right and from above. I think they've just not got the right tiara placement / hair placement yet.

No she’s wearing a sofa by the looks of it

Did anyone check to see if the TV remote control and a couple of quid were stuffed down the back of it?

I said the same thing earlier in the thread. They are completely comfortable in their roles as senior Royals and it shows.

Maireas · 03/12/2025 23:10

I think the tiara looks beautiful with the long wavy hair.

That tiara is at a rakish angle! But it is a fabulous tiara.

I just struggle to believe her hair went that light in the sun. It's a lovely shade though.

Dear Anne

Recycling is not always a good idea.

Remember the programme about maintaining the tiaras that one looks particularly fragile.

ExitPursuedByABare · 03/12/2025 23:23

Beautiful tiara.

Oh Ann. Love you dearly but please get help.

locketrocket · 03/12/2025 23:28

Will read posts/look at pics in more detail (thank you all ☺️)
First thought is Catherine looks bloody lovely, but agree with most about hair/tiara. Perhaps an up-do inside the tiara would have worked better.
However, it’s a small quibble 😊

Pallisers · 03/12/2025 23:32

Love Catherine's dress but hate the cape sleeves - can we get over that trend already. it must look really odd when sitting and eating. The dress without the cape bits would have been fab.

I can't say it is my favourite tiara but any new one gets a vote from me. Wear them all!

I like Camilla's outfit a lot - she has a super stylist who puts her in stuff that is lovely and also looks comfortable. I wish I had her stylist I suspect I'd look a lot better as a very middle aged woman.

Sophie looks great.

Anne .. what can I say. She dressed so well through her life so can't understand this.

Pallisers · 03/12/2025 23:32

Oh and also would have preferred an up do for the POW and that new tiara.

Anne's outfit is both somehow too big and too small. Love Kate's tiara. Her order on the asymmetrical neckline makes it look as if it is skewing the neckline, rather than it being part of the design.

justasking111 · 03/12/2025 23:40

My other DIL is a big Jo Malone bather. When I can get in a bath again I'm going to have a big deep bath heavily scented. This looks gorgeous.

I wish William would loose the beard!

I think he looks great with the beard! But I really like men with beards. A bald/ing man is always improved by a beard too, gives more balance to the face. I hope he keeps it.

MrsLeonFarrell · 04/12/2025 06:44

I wonder if the cape sleeves are because it's a bit chilly in the dining room? I'm sure Catherine has short sleeves in most of her Buckingham Palace state dinner dresses.

I agree, he also really suits a hat and wish he'd wear more.

CurlewKate · 04/12/2025 07:46

I really don’t like the tiara-it’s too big for her. (Is that the new “diamond shoes are rubbing”? “her tiara is too big”?🤣)And the PofW’s first act as King should be banning Orders with evening frocks.

Lifestooshort71 · 04/12/2025 07:47

Like Catherine's dress and tiara but not the long flowing hair. Agree with pp that an updo would have cinched it. As to Anne, she really doesn't care so neither do I.
