Kate's long bodied, like me. Pretty much all we have in common. Jumpsuits tend to be a bit tight, although she could deal with that unlike me.

RomainingCalm · 21/11/2025 22:10

Just catching up. I like Camilla in glasses, she should start a new trend for eyewear. Hate Charlene’s dress and (half) tiara - there’s something about it that’s all a bit wishy-washy. Maybe it’s the picture. Don’t like either of the pink outfits (I am properly grumpy this evening) but I do like the burgundy suit and trainers on Queen Sofia.

I can absolutely see Kate in the Talbot Runhof dress that @Chouxposted - it looks very similar to some of the Jenny Packham ones that she’s worn before. it’s stunning.

Angela looks fab there! We're so used to seeing her in the trouser suits when Chancellor. I always thought she had a very serviceable public wardrobe, it's very difficult for women politicians.

@eggandonion I always loved how mobile and expressive Merkel's face was.

Remember her presenting Hillary Clinton with a framed copy of the Frankfurter Allgemeine photo of the pair of them in black trousers and bright jackets (from the waist down), asking readers which is which? Still my favourite diplomatic gift!

I’ve never seen this and I love it so much!

Serenster · 22/11/2025 09:55

I love Angela Merkel’s gift, that’s brilliant. 😀

And equally, I think that’s the worse outfit I have ever seen Leti wear (and that includes her skirt with the leg hole). Not just the 2020s does the 1980s does Edwardian, but with fussy embroidery on the bodice too. Come back Alessandra Rich, all is forgiven….

Yes, I agree! That and of course, the skirt with the hole...

Very nice, Emilia Wickstead - definitely a Kate look on Charlene, including the colour. I really like the hat, a little veil on it would look good, à la Meghan. I'm not sure about the shoes though.
Max's outfit looks quite bright in some pictures, it's actually quite nice, front on. She didn't go wild on the jewellery and accessories though, which is a bit disappointing.

There's a lot going on in the top half of that outfit, so maybe that's why she didn't go big on accessories!

Still. It's Max. 😉

A tale of two greens...

A very Kate look on Charlene (love the saucer hat) and a slightly mad sleeve on Maxima but would we expect any less??

Charlene looks lovely, but Albert shows himself to be the anti-chic yet again. His short coat looks like a 1960s car coat, or possibly that he had a long coat that he decided to shorten himself.

Lunde · 22/11/2025 22:53

Choux · 21/11/2025 08:35

And the closest thing I could find to a tiara currently is Charlene at the Monaco National Day gala. It’s a beautiful dress. Needs bigger bling.

I love the style of this dress but I don't think the colour does Charlene any favours as is seems to make her look washed out. Also I think the lipstick is too harsh with a neutral - almost barefaced look.

The tiara looks like a pared down version of the one Kate wore at the Coronation - the idea is good but it gets a bit lost in the general neutral palette and the red sash.

justasking111 · 22/11/2025 23:17

Whenever Charlene wears washed out colours I think it reflects her mood. When she's happy her clothes reflect that. That's my theory anyway.

Please can someone post Leti's Skirt With The Hole - I feel I've missed out....

It's meant to be worn with your leg going through the hole!

It’s amazing that didn’t catch on as a trend 😀

I like Charlene in the green, but her black double-breasted overcoat looks too big and drowns her a bit. Albert looks as though he's wearing a donkey jacket, just needs some shiny shoulders and a shovel to accessorise.

ProfessorIDareSay · 23/11/2025 10:20

That's quite...something 😳

I thought it looks like an ironing accident.
Just cut the scorched bit out hem it and bingo! Good as new (almost).
