I seriously need to stop now. I’ve been back to Escentuals and ordered a Dior eyeshadow palette and a Givenchy lipstick in a colour that I love but can never find for £36. They have 12% off BF deals with EXTRA12 and I was able to apply the points I got from my PDM order yesterday. Somebody please disconnect my internet now 😬

ITookYourJoob · 29/11/2025 17:09

Didn’t buy Charlotte Tillbury lip kit (just a pencil and lipstick 😅), also resister Clinique Black honey set and Estée Lauder gift set - both at reeeeealy good prices.

Thelifeofawife · 29/11/2025 17:18

I’m still resisting the Jarrolds wild night in set. I keep looking at it then saying no, then looking at it again, and again, and again 😅
I’m also wavering on the HG palette, it was easier to resist when it was full price 🙈

@OvaHere i have a wish list of things I’ve wanted for years but do alright without. This year I bought the silk pillowcases. Other wish list items include an LED mask. Then there were things like Reome Broth serum and Lisa Eldridge eye liner which were the cheapest I’ve seen them, but the extra 5% doesn’t actually make that much difference and I’d much rather buy them when I need them. You mentioned the BTSO quiet Black Friday I am putting that on my list for next year.

I was looking at LED masks on LF last night. I’ve never felt the need for one before, but I am tempted now. I just wouldn’t know where to start and if they are actually really worth it

I had a small one for acne, it was fantastic with my cystic deep hormonal acne, reduced inflammation and infection so it was completely flat to my skin. I should have bought a full face one then. I did roaccutane. Blue light is for inflammation and acne and red light for anti aging. There’s other wavelengths like green that they say does something too. When I was looking at it, it was the lights per mm that showed if it was a good item. I used to have electrocurrent facials and felt they were worth it so think the NuFace would be valuable as well. The thing that stops me buying is that I don’t think I’d actually use it as often as you need to. Some evenings I go to bed without doing skincare at all. This thread helps me pay attention to it.

TheCryingTheBitchAndTheFloordrobe · 29/11/2025 17:30

I didn’t buy the CB Tried and Tested or any of the GlossyBox blind boxes. I may or may not have bought 3 CB stockings. (I definitely did)

LightandBreezy · 29/11/2025 17:43

I didn't buy the CB supreme skin edit, as I already have a lot of serums and oils, an hourglass bronzer because I upgraded it to the palette, kiehls avocado eye cream ( I remembered there's one in the Harrods AC) skinceuticals ce ferulic as I don't hugely like the free gift they were offering and aromatherapy associates bath oil because I've been buying it so long I can remember when it's normal price was the same as this BF's 30% off price so it didn't feel like a bargain ( I know this isn't logical!) Oh and a load of slip scrunchies - absolutely love these but the current colour choices are so boring I think I nodded off before I got to the checkout page.

BakeOffRewatch · 29/11/2025 18:07

@LightandBreezy im hoping I don’t love the pillowcases too much as my dream basket at Slip was a LOT. I liked the pink large scrunchie packs and the jewel green and purple colours.

OvaHere · 29/11/2025 18:08

I'm loving all the things we didn't buy. We are all so virtuous. 😇😂

OP posts:
Lurkingshark · 29/11/2025 18:22

I can add to the DID NOT BUY:

2x more CB stockings, one duplicate of stuff not even opened

Lancôme stock up on face cream and eyeliner in store as they were chucking in loads of freebies

HN BAC and FAC

I am, however, now investigating slip pillow cases and scrunchies 🧐

BakeOffRewatch · 29/11/2025 18:28

@Lurkingshark i got the slip pillowcases because I wanted the zip and the scalloped design. RRP £139 got them for £83 from the Slip website itself, if you’re looking in future. They say their momme is 22 and a PP said to look for 19 minimum.

John Lewis do 19 momme for £40 https://www.johnlewis.com/search?search-term=Silk%20pillowcase this one is £46 at the moment https://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-organic-mulberry-silk-standard-pillowcase/p6131622

M&S had some on offer too but all sold out now. Not sure on the momme didn’t say on website

Georgieporgie29 · 29/11/2025 18:47

I saw the Lisa Eldridge Liquid Lurex Eyeshadow recommended on a previous thread. Where is the best place to buy it and what shades does anyone recommend (I know it depends on your colouring but any that weren’t as they seemed on the site?)

QueefofSheena · 29/11/2025 18:48

I didn’t buy the Vogue or PDM calendars so I’m feeling virtuous over that. I might still buy JL candle or Debenhams if they go down enough, unlikely though

I love Zora ( dark brown) Angelica ( dusky pink) and Rosalie ( light pink). Ymmv

LightandBreezy · 29/11/2025 19:03

@Georgieporgie29 it's currently cheapest at space NK I think, I bought one at liberty last year in the shade Emily ( pinky taupe) and have been complimented on it, but that may just be because I rarely bother with eye shadow! There was also one in last years liberty AC in a slightly more neutral / cool shade that looked lovely.

Georgieporgie29 · 29/11/2025 19:04

Thank you so much @LightandBreezy and @IDontHateRainbows im going to order from snk

TragicMuse · 29/11/2025 19:29

I didn’t buy the Jarrolds Wild Night In! And I didn’t buy any Medik8 liquid peptides.

OTOH, I did buy Trinny Elevator, Be Your Best gel cleanser, Naked Ambition new serum, an eyeliner and an eyeshadow.

I was holding out and it was a bargain!

LightandBreezy · 29/11/2025 20:01

@BakeOffRewatch those pillowcases are very pretty! And yes they have some good colours in the mini scrunchies, I should probably stick to those anyway as the large ones can literally slip out of my hair 😅

Willow742 · 29/11/2025 20:21

My CEW Awards edit has finally arrived and I am absolutely enamoured, as I expected to be 😍 the Lisa eldridge and Laura Mercier are beautiful, I love the perfume, already use the clarifying shampoo and dry shampoo (obsessed) and I'm so excited to try some of the others things in there! I'd have to say it's the best edit/box I've ever bought, trying to resist buying another one straight away in the hope that a discount code magics up somewhere...

LoveLabradors · 30/11/2025 09:14

@Georgieporgie29 definitely buy from space nk as they have 25% off. I found the Selene to be much darker than I thought. I bought the aria in store yesterday and I wish I’d bought that originally instead of the Selene.

IlovePond · 30/11/2025 09:47

Morning! I have spent my £5 CB voucher on a BoJ face mask and another bottle of the Act+Acre shampoo - just because it makes my hair feel so soft and silky.

I reckon if I only use it once or twice a week it should last a bit longer - it’s £40 a bottle full price 🙀🙀🙀(Although, if it’s going to stand a chance of stimulating any growing/thickening I suppose it should be used every time!)

Georgieporgie29 · 30/11/2025 10:17

@LoveLabradors thank you for this. I don’t tend to go for dark ones because I have horrible bags under my eyes and I think it just makes them look worse. I ordered 4 just so I could get the free gift with a £60 spend 😂 so let’s hope I do like them. I’ve gone for Emily, Cressida, Titania and Anais.

Isabelle70 · 30/11/2025 10:37

I had some Code 8 beauty balm samples which I really like, one of the shades looked like I had been on holiday but hey ho, the other one was a good match.

They have 40% off and I got a free full size lipgloss and lip pencil for my £27 purchase. Not sure I will use the freebies but if not they will go on eBay.

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 30/11/2025 11:32

Stop me, stop me, somebody please stop me 😭😭😭

I am finished and must now exercise RESTRAINT

LemonJuiceFromConcentrate · 30/11/2025 11:35

I said I was finished yesterday, and today I’ve just bought giant 1litre bottles of shampoo and conditioner, a new hot brush, Clinique hydrating jelly, and a Simplehuman mirror (the latter excitingly reduced at QVC) 🥹

All of it was heavily discounted and also enhanced with credit/points, making it semi-relevant to this thread, but I apologise for derailing slightly. Just the BF overwhelm! I felt you would all understand.
