I just read your message about your husband to my husband and he laughed and said he feels his pain 🤣🤣

I did the same with CB, you have to pay a return fee, although I wasn't charged for my first return. But I felt it was worth it for the difference, plus it made me feel better getting it at a cheaper price. I think it saved me £16.

Never tried. Tbh id never heard of many of these scents until I fell down the rabbit hole of fragrance. 🤣
Taking over from make up and skincare as I have exhausted that recently. And as someone's mentioned before fragrance doesn't take up as much space 🤣

What did you all NOT buy yesterday/last week in BF offers?

The things I put in a basket and even went as far as checkout but talked myself out of...

MBM F1 brush
MBM Skin enhancer
MBM Bronzer
MBM Blush
MBM foundation
All the above were in my basket in different combinations at various points in both Sephora and the MBM site. Ultimately I decided 15% wasn't worth it and there would be an opportunity next year to get them with a bigger discount.

Dior Stick Foundation - Had this is a basket at Boots and Sephora, £10 reduction on both sites. Really want to try this but I have too many foundations on the go so it will have to wait until I've used up at least a couple of the ones I've got.

Calecim BF deal eye cream and serum - curious about this, it's very expensive and there was a decent discount with free gift. However the better freebies had sold out and I decided I was being ridiculous.

Guerlain perfume - On offer on Escentual website - great deal, very tempted but blind buying perfume is a gamble and it's not like I don't have enough.

Had both the above in a basket at Cult Beauty for the last two days. Very good discount with the 30% off and influencer code but feel like the bronzer could pull a bit orange on me (and really I want the MBM one more). I already have the HG Dim Light in a palette but fancied a full size - not a good enough reason if I'm honest with myself.

LF Mask Edit - This has been in and out of stock and in and out of my basket all week. It never got discounted below £29.95 and really I only wanted the sheet masks. If it had gone to around £20 I probably would have bought.

The Cult Beauty Stockings - Bought the scent one when it was first released which was just okay for the price. Tempted by the others when they were heavily discounted but realised in the nick of time it was just FOMO on a bargain. Didn't want a single item in any of the stockings.

SDJ sets at LF for £15 - See above FOMO. I don't like SDJ all that much and I have nobody to gift one to. Silly that I was entertaining it.

Just received my first Christmas card of the year from...Augustinus Bader! 😳

I have not bought a lot of things, I feel I have gotten a bit more realistic. That said, I have just purchased a few things from Escentual.
i ended up going for the Mon Guerlain, Guerlain La petite robe (gift set), and a bottle of my main day to day perfume which is Givenchy L’Interdit, I also got a Givenchy lip balm for myself, one as a gift, and a couple of Caudalie handcream sets as gifts.

can someone link the PDM sets please?

@OvaHere i have a wish list of things I’ve wanted for years but do alright without. This year I bought the silk pillowcases. Other wish list items include an LED mask. Then there were things like Reome Broth serum and Lisa Eldridge eye liner which were the cheapest I’ve seen them, but the extra 5% doesn’t actually make that much difference and I’d much rather buy them when I need them. You mentioned the BTSO quiet Black Friday I am putting that on my list for next year.

@OvaHere - I have NOT bought the HG Swan palette- although it’s been in/out of the basket. Ditto HG eyeshadow and Shiseido Ginza perfume.

I have also held off on more haircare but may crack on that because it will definitely get used up quickly.

Purchases over the last couple of days:

I used up my ELF rewards and got two mini eye creams for £1.

I bought a cheese a/c for DH!

This may seem very virtuous but only because I have gone mad over the last couple of weeks, particularly on CB edits/stockings/overpriced shampoo - you name it!

Basically I peaked too early and bought too soon! Will try to do better next year!

Meanwhile I experimented with the GR drops today and my face just looks dirty - not the look I was going for! I tried mixing it with some foundation but that didn’t seem to work either.

I bought the morphe cloud light powder in boots yesterday - couldn’t resist at £12 and it really is worth the hype!
And of course my saintliness didn’t last long after a trip to space nk today they just happened to have one peek a boo Lisa Eldridge lip gloss left and I swatched it and it was so much lovelier IRL so of course I bought it at 25% off! And then I clocked the aria liquid eyeshadow and it was far better for me than the Selene I bought so that came home with me as of course it was too much of a bargain. BUT dear fellow beauty lover friends that really does have to be it as I have far too much now! 🤣

bought the two PDM sets from Escentual and then a second order for the Guerlain Meteorites and a Givenchy lip balm.
I was tempted with the Sephora lip and fragrance sets but reminded myself I bought them during the sale and didn’t need seconds and didn’t need to spend £200 for the gift.

I did buy two of the Caroline Hirons kits though.

I wasn't massively impressed with the beauty offers yesterday - and then had to pop to the post office in pouring rain yesterday, and got annoyed again at my current (old) raincoat, so finally bought myself a new one from Rainsisters that I'd wanted for aaaages. That splurge stopped me spending anything more on beauty 😂

Oddly, as the rainsisters coat was on sale, it fell below the free delivery threshold. Delivery would have been £18! And they had some nice makeup bags on sale, also for £18, so added that, and was back into free delivery spend 😅 I don't need a new makeup bag, but if I have to spend £18 anyway, I might as well get one! I think my mum will take it anyway, the pattern is very 'her'.

Btw: I just logged into ELF and they were offering me 30% off everything. Don’t know if they are giving everyone the same deal. There’s also a free gift if spending over £25.

Save it for summer! The reviews say it does work for pale skin and it’s a glow not a pigment, maybe more to do with the tone.

Thanks @BakeOffRewatch - I will put it to one side for later. I seem to have gone a bit mad with the bronzing drops this week for some reason , (having never had any before).

I got some from ELF that they recommended mixing with another of their serums and that was ok.

At least I didn’t buy the GR edit at CB too!

I've only bought twice from the website. There's a code in there that expires 1st of Jan. It's just an enticement really.

Thank you to the poster who recommended checking out Boots products on the Uber Eats app. I got an absolute bargain 50% off on the Hermes Barenia 30ml pefume for £35 and Laneige Lip Mask for £11. They added about £6 of fees for delivery/service which would have put me off but for some reason I had a £15 voucher! Arrived within an hour or so 😀

@TreesinthePark I seen on Tiktok others got perfumes for 50% off, i went tkolook and they changed it back to the store prices! You got a bargain!

I did this once on the Just Eat app. They sent me a £20 voucher - I didn't even realise Boots was on there. Bought some nappies for DGS and they arrived in the hour also. Felt a bit guilty having a delivery guy bring me nappies within the hour for a baby that wasn't at my house (or even born yet). So I did give a tip.

I've been trying to buy stuff from kiko for the last couple of days in the buy 3 get 3 free promo but everytime I go to check out, it empties my bag 🤦🏻‍♀️ clearly not meant to be. Other things that I've managed not to buy are Rephr brushes, morphe brushes, Patrick ta blushers and dior foundation. I did actually think about buying more CB stockings and another supreme skin edit but resisted. I don't think I've done too bad at resisting 🙂

I do wish I'd picked up a boujee lip balm in my Escentuals order though 🤔
