Wedding dress help

After many years together DP and I are getting married.
It’s literally just us and our two older teenagers in the registry office. No guests and no party or anything afterwards ( we don’t think. May decide to go out for celebratory drinks when we’ve finished). I’m mid 40’s. I’m neutral/ warmed toned with blonde hair and blue eyes. I’m not a massive fan of dressing up.

I’d like to wear a dress but ..

I’m very fat (24/26)
I’m a horrible shape. I have lipodema and really big cankles. This means anything other than a maxi dress is out of the question. I also can’t wear heels due to an ankle injury.

I’m fairly feminine I like nice hair/make-up/nails. I like pastels and flowers etc etc
Im going round in circles trying to find a dress or outfit to wear.
It needs to be very budget friendly. I’ll literally wear this dress or outfit for those few hours.
Can anyone please help? I’d prefer online shopping and trying on at home.

I’m just worried all everyone will see is my horrid lumpy legs and wonder if I'm too old to marry!
You're not even middle-aged! When I see a bride I just think she looks lovely, I wouldn't look at her legs unless she'd hitched up her dress and hanging on to her veil running up the street.
Register office is near me, so I see a few. I think it's so nice seeing them. So romantic.

If you like the ever pretty ones and the wedding dresses are too pricey, just go to the bridesmaids’ dresses - they do them in cream and those are more like £40-70

If you really want sleeves you could go for something like this and add your own sparkle with a belt or jewellery? They do it in white or a pink too...

What about a nice trouser suit with longline edge to edge jacket. Would cover legs and any other bits you’d rather not display. Could wear with a beautiful top/blouse.

I really struggle with formal style trousers. My legs and hips are so much bigger than my waist. Makes it difficult to get them to hang properly if that makes sense. I live in stretchy style ‘jeans’ with wide legs in the winter and long dresses in the spring/ summer. I guess if I could find loose and elasticated trousers it might work. I’ll have a look. I do love the dresses posted about though.

Choose something lovely that you’d wear again. It doesn’t have to be a dress. Sometimes a two piece outfit is more flexible.

Some lovely dresses here. You’re going to look amazing. As they’re floor length you could easily get away with pretty trainers to match your dress. These ones from Next as an example come in wide fit.
