@ITookYourJoob I love Pureology too. It's probably my favourite S&C to date. I love the scent of Strength Cure but the purple bottle suits my hair slightly better.

I'm using up the Oribe Gold Lust range at the moment. I've got the shampoo, conditioner and mask. I like them a lot but wouldn't buy them full price over Pureology where you can generally pick up large bottles on offer.

ITookYourJoob · 08/03/2026 19:56

@JoRaRaRa well, you know why that is- it’s the @OvaHere thread of gwp and best edits that we are hoovering up 😁 Your stash is definitely greater than mine, though.

I would definitely sell the SDJ body spray - nothing special about it, you can get the same thing with any other body spray (I’m currently using Kopari and it’s marginally better and half the price).
it seems that Lancome night creams have been added to all Debenhams sets. If my memory serves me right it’s almost identical to L’Oréal night cream (glass jar).
Regarding Shiseido - I think I loved the scent more than anything 😁 but I’m interested in hearing what you’ll think.
Also, I’m pretty sure I’m the only person who doesn’t like Tatcha.🫣

@OvaHere I am torn between Redken All soft and Purology. I think I’ll go with Redken first. You might like it too, if you haven’t tried it. It get’s bad rep because shampoo has oils in it, but it really calms hair down. I’m not going to investigate Oribe any further either, the only brand I’m currently a bit interested in is k18.

I mixed the dregs of all of my meh body wash and binned the bottles. Now I have a mega-meh, super-drying body wash that smells like… something.

🤣🤣 Love this!!

Love this thread. I am such a hoarder and trying to actually use my stashes of beauty so this thread may encourage me to use all the beauty things I buy rather than filling drawers.

1.Augustinus Bader body cream- quite nice very very thick so takes a while to soak in but absolutely not worth the price so will not rebuy but would happily use again if I found it in an edit.

2.aveda damage remedy conditioner. This is my base level to decide if I like a conditioner. Would happily buy again.

3.Clarins Tonic Body oil. Love it. I’ve never found a better body oil. Smells great skin feels tighter and more supple. This is a regular reorder.
4.. Diptique body wash. Smells nice. Perfectly fine body wash but not great for more sensitive parts. It’s expensive for a body wash so wouldn’t rebuy but would happily use again.

5.. Mason and Gotez face wash. Ok for a face wash. Nothing special but would happily reuse but probably wouldn’t rebuy.

6.. May Linstrom the youth dew. I tried this as far as I put the first squirt on the back of my hand and couldn’t stand the smell so it went in the bin. It had quite an off curry smell. Not sure how effective it is as I couldn’t get past the smell.

Just popping in to say that Soap and Glory hand cream makes a great body lotion. I am getting through all the things. (Just don’t open the cupboard under the sink with my recent Olive Young shampoo bargain. *Eyes off conditioner…)

Tarragon123 · 10/03/2026 18:16

10 days into March and I havent finished anything! I'll need to get a single use mask or something. I was tempted to slather my legs with my face moisturiser just to get it used up!

TragicMuse · 10/03/2026 19:11

I feel as though everything that’s running low has suddenly found extra hidden reserves @Tarragon123!

My Sisley floral toner is nearly done but just isn’t emptying! Same with the Zelens Melatonin!

user593 · 10/03/2026 19:14

My Zelens 3T Complex Cream just keeps going and going and going 😅 I think tonight might be the night though!

Thereislightattheendofthetunnel · 11/03/2026 11:51

Nothing exciting here:

miniso charcoal mask peel off. My dd rates this. Bought another one.

miniso rose masque: she used this but has not been replaced.

head and shoulders apple fresh anti dandruff. I’ve noticed it doesn’t seem to work on my dd’s scalp. We like it though.

sanex shower gel. Another stsple here. Does the job but I don’t particularly like it.

he o de pravia lovely fresh floral smell. I think this empty bottle was mentioned here before.

Cath Kidston Fig Tree Body lotion (from advent calendar) - I liked the smell of this

TryingToFindMyStyle · 11/03/2026 12:21

This thread has been great motivation to make a serious effort to use up lotions and potions and my skin is looking good on it. I’d a tendency to hoard creams especially expensive ones rather than use them, no idea what I was saving them for 😂

Latest empties

  • Doctors formula Radiance Serum, would not RP, you had to use more at a time than any other serum and texture and appearance is a little like wallpaper paste but my skin looks fine on it
  • Neals yard shower gel, would not RP (this was a gift) as bottle too hard to get gel out of
  • Pure bath gel, suspect this was from a hotel. If I’ve started using them at a hotel I take them as I assume part used non-refillable containers get thrown away. Inoffensive but nothing special, wouldn’t RP, would use up rather than bin
  • LaRoche-Posay sample spf 50, I have a few of these as local pharmacy was trying hard to give them away, wouldn’t purchase as a bit runny. I like the Nivea face spf 50. (I’d normally use between 15&30 spf this time of year and 50 spf for summer)

My Zelens 3T Complex Cream just keeps going and going and going 😅 I think tonight might be the night though!

I finally finished this last night. It was only a 15ml size though (so cheating a bit). I’ve already repurchased several as I really like it. It has a lovely cashmere finish and has worked really well at night on top of Medik8 Crystal Retinol. I probably wouldn’t pay full price (£110 for 50ml!) but they were in an advent or beauty box and going cheap.

I’m going to switch and try the Zelens Melatonin B12 Overnight Repair Mask before going back to the 3T.

I refuse to accept that 15ml sizes are cheating or I would never be able to post anything Grin

15ml is huge! It's when you're counting the tiny 1 use samples that you can say you're cheating.

I haven't been keeping track of what I've used up (new meds with crappy side effects of fatigue and brain fog so all a bit bleugh) but I have counted in and out in my spreadsheet. I've had 30 out and 6 in since january. As you can imagine, there were very many small things in that number. I had a load of 2ml perfume samples that I finished up so that really upped the number. Things are slowing down now though as it's mainly bigger sizes left plus the new meds seem to be making my skin sensitive so I've cut out on actives in my routine for the time being.

30/100

Agree that 15ml is huge! Eye creams are generally 15ml. I've been using my current one since mid December and although I had a 2 week holiday and some overnight stays when I used other smaller products, it taking some time to use up. I use it twice a day!

More empties. I’m trying to run through lots of my stash before I replenish it with the things I’ve had the last few months so quite a few empties:
7.. byoma facial wash. Nice would RP if I didn’t already have soo much
8.. tata Harper Cleanser. Nice exfoliating cleanser actually my favourite so far. I would Rp once my stash is depleted.
9..benefit clay mask. Works well maybe a bit too well as quite drying for my older skin. Interesting seeing the oil drawn out. Would Rp for oily times.
10.. Elemis pro collagen eye cream. Binned. Really nasty burning sensation when using it and I don’t have sensitive skin.
11.. Elemis pro collagen serum. Quite nice but didn’t see any results in the few days I used it but would try again.
12.. BY Terry eye patches. Felt very cheap in terms of texture compared to the price point although the odd bubble wrap like texture did mean they stayed in place. Would not RP.
13.. Sarah chapman eye cream. Fine but appeared to tighten the below my eyes making creases look very visible so wouldn’t RP
14.. le labo santal 33. Love the smell very complex and multi layered however hated the roller ball. Would RP in a spray.
15.erborian skin hero. Odd matt colour and efffect but if you touched your face it seemed to flake off. Didn’t see any improvement and didn’t like the flakiness. It was also another step going on at the end of the cleansing routine. Wouldn’t RP.

My "I need treats" attitude must stop. I've had 2 SNK deliveries and now I've ordered the Boots K Beauty box. I would ideally like to not buy anything until BF now. Anyway, bits ive used this week.

  1. Lush Cherry Choc Scrubee. I love these, the 2-in-1 scrub and body butter. The scrub gives me good exfoliation. Then I follow up with the butter part before I step out of the shower, and I'm left moisturised. You don't need a lotion, but I like to be extra so I follow with one. The only downside is it doesn't last long, maybe 6 or 7 uses.

  2. Erborian Centella Barrier Cream sample. I bought a full-size after using the sample. I love the thick texture; I prefer it for my skin at night. Perfect for my sensitive skin.

  3. Laneige Cream Skin Mist. From the SNK advent. I liked this a lot, that I repurchased the toner refills from Stylevana to decant. It sinks in beautifully, soothes my skin, and keeps my makeup looking fresh. Possibly my favourite mist to date. Moving onto Dermalogica next.

  4. Dove coconut and jasmine shower gel. Prefer the OG. Not keen on this scent.

  5. Patchology Eye Want Candy. I was suckered in by the fun design. I do prefer the Pixi ones, but these are fine. It's my Sunday evening ritual 😂

BF? That's got to mean Buy-everything Friday? I refuse to believe it's black Friday 🤣 or is it Beauty Friday? Or Blow-the-budget Friday?

Anyway, it's very good that you think you'll last until Friday anyway, great plan 🤪

Caggie09 · 12/03/2026 04:31

@JoRaRaRa That definitely sounds more like it😂

Experiment627 · 12/03/2026 07:01

I have two empties to report:
John Frieda Blonde+ repair system pre-shampoo treatment: of the 3 products I tried from this range this one was the best. I preferred using it after shampooing as a deep quick conditioner.
MUA pro-base prime & conceal powder: so so so so old and whilst there is still some product there, I believe it is time to chuck as the black looks dodgy. Love this- helps even out skin tone. Alas have not yet found a as good replacement.

@Caggie09 you’re a bad influence, I was doing so well but have wanted to try Korean beautycare for ages so was tempted by the boots k beauty box you mentioned. If you hadn’t mentioned it I’d have never known about it 😂

Caggie09 · 12/03/2026 10:43

@TryingToFindMyStyle I wanted the last one they did, but dithered about too much. Then it sold out, so thought im not missing this one😂

Beautyfox · 12/03/2026 19:07

I decided not to fill Up my drawers with the excessive beauty stuff that found their way to me over winter until I had finished the stuff already in my drawers. I have founds things that I know I have had for many years def before covid. Not sure why I have avoided trying these things but I’m now wondering how long is too long to keep hold of beauty products. They are unopened so I’m thinking that if they smell ok and the consistency is fine then I should try them but what are your thoughts?
