*The big bottle in the chuck out pile is a KBeauty hair oil. Lovely product but empty. I will buy one again if it is still available in a billion years when I finish the one I am using now. It’s this one below and it’s the most deliciously-scented hair oil I have ever used.

Love the caption “reasonable dreamy fragrant” 🙂

Excellent stash sorting work!

Francestein · 26/02/2026 01:55

@SheilaFentiman unfortunately one of my lip glosses had leaked and the quilt I had chucked on my floor belongs to my daughter. It’s in a hot wash with bleach now. Fingers crossed it survives. I actually think I need to bin more. My NARS Multiple Stick highlighter hasn’t been in production for years, but it is/was sooo good.

Empties:

Avene Tolerance cleanser - 100ml. The bottle says it is extremely gentle and it is, to the point of not being quite enough for my skin except as a second cleanse. Probably great for someone with really sensitive skin though.

Inkey List hyaluronic serum - 30ml. Fine, but I don’t really see the need for a separate hyaluronic product.

Perfume samples. Miller Harris Melody - very pretty, light rose scent but longevity wasn’t great. Jimmy Choo I Want Choo - peach heavy going out type of scent. I thought it was ok but DP loved it and said I should get a full bottle. He can buy it for me if he’s that bothered!

Lanolips 101 ointment - did a brilliant job sorting out any sore or sensitive skin round my lips. A bit claggy for use as an everyday lip balm though.

Future Primitive Pandemonium body lotion - 50g. Used as a hand cream. Gorgeous gourmand scent (similar to Lush Sticky Dates).

Lush Turmeric Latte shower gel - 285g. Unpleasantly yellow-brown in colour (think newborn nappy) but the scent was lovely, warm and a bit spicy.

Tree Hut Pink Hibiscus body scrub - 510g. My favourite body scrub formula.

Korres Santorini Grape Body Smoothing Milk - 200ml. I like the formula of these Korres body lotions. Not sure why they call it a milk though, it’s more like somewhere between a lotion and a body cream.

Empties

This Works perfect cleavage and neck
serum: fine, didn’t really notice any difference, now trying Prai

Cath Kidston Wind Down hand cream: didn’t smell of much, I have a bunch of these from an advent calendar and prefer the Fig Tree which I have now

The Inkey List omega water cream: I liked this but no spf so don’t think I will repurchase

q + a collagen hand cream: another of my bazillion hand creams, fine, didn’t come open in my bag, might repurchase if I ever reduce the stash enough!

Steadily getting through things!

Nos 25 - 28
Haru Haru Wonder Black Rice Probiotic Barrier Essence sachet. I enjoyed this but 3 applications isn’t enough to get a full go at it. I would potentially buy.

Erborian CC Dull Correct 5ml mini. I think the shade was possibly a bit wrong on me. Also, shiny. But that’s probably more my problem that I see shiny where other people have ‘glow’!

Kate Somerville Goat Milk Cleanser. Lovely! I like the scent, it lasted ages and left my skin feeling really soft. Definite repurchase when I’ve gone through my stash of everything else.

Trinity London Better Off cleanser. I love this, it was my second bottle! Another one to buy again when my stash is exhausted.

TryingToFindMyStyle · 27/02/2026 10:17

3 body lotions one conditioner

Neals Yard body lotion was best before 2018 😳 that went straight in bin, smelt weird

Templespa Truffle body cream was nice, liked the scent and texture but won’t RP as I’ve loads of other body lotions to use up (was a gift)

L’Occitane Verveine body lotion was too strongly scented and a faff to finish up as difficult to balance upside down, wouldn’t RP (was a gift)

Aussie lightweight conditioner was being used by my son but when shampoos and conditioners get towards the end and a bit more effort he starts a new one so I was finishing it up. I like their curly hair shampoo & conditioner when I want my hair to look nice.

@tragicmuse
Would you class the triiny as gentle or not? If that makes sense 😂

Francestein · 27/02/2026 11:13

A few more empties! Shiseido Tsubaki Hair Mask. I love it, and will reorder in the future, but I have another treatment I’ve been avoiding so will use that one up first.
I found what I thought was an empty T.Mugler Aura bottle in my bedside drawer. It had a few weeks of daily use left. It’s gone. RIP.
I used a bottle of foaming Vitamin C body wash that has a Japanese name, but I’m sorry I can’t read it. It was nice, but nothing amazing. Maybe a tad drying.
Two more deodorants. A Dove passionfruit one and a Rexona Watermelon one. Neither smells remotely like their names, but they’re equally nice.
Liz Arden Green Tea body lotion, and Green Tea Coconut Breeze fragrance. Both lovely, but won’t RP as have way too much and… we might be moving. I am definitely going to be utterly ruthless!

@Doglover73 good question! I think it’s quite gentle. It can be a little stinging in the eyes, but that’s most cleansers isn’t it!

But I don’t usually feel dry and over-cleansed in a tight or rough way.

Caggie09 · 28/02/2026 08:40

Last lot for Feb. Used a total of 20 products this month, est value comes to £327. Just ordered some new drawers, so i will have fun organising all my bits when it arrives!

Ellis Brooklyn Vanilla Milk sample. Really liked this, surprised by the longevity. Was tempted by some of the body mist's last year. May treat myself as this has impressed me.

  1. Too Faced Jelly Gloss. I really like these. Its glides on your lips leaving them glossy and full looking. Tasted like watermelon. I will RP at some point. I like they glittery ones too.

  2. Lush Posh White Choc body wash. Used along side the scrub. Creamy and hydrating. Feels like such treat to use this in the shower.

  3. Officine Universelle Buly rose lotion. The most beautiful, luxurious body products you can get, imo. The rose is a delicate but powerful scent. I feel really nice when I use this, and I can smell it throughout the day. I wish it were more easily accessible in the UK though.

  4. Lush Dream Cream. Spoke about before. Will always use.

45/46. Loreal hyaluronic shampoo & conditioner. I would say it's helped maintain the condition of my hair in terms of dryness. But i use other products too. Nothing to exciting. Will cycle back round to this at some point.

Some more empties this week:

  1. Mirror Water Smooth Body Oil 50ml.

As said before, I love this and go through it quite quickly. Had another in my stash but my hold off on buying another as I have other body oils plus I tend to use less in the warmer months.

  1. The White Company Sea Salt votive.

I bought this hoping it would be a cheap alternative to Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt. It's not. The vetiver is really strong and mostly smells of aftershave to me. I have a body lotion and hand cream to get through too unfortunately.

  1. Lumene Oat Milk Oil Cleanser 50ml.

This was really nice, more of a milk than an oil (which I prefer). I would happily reuse but won't rebuy as I can products I like as much or better for cheaper.

  1. Lumene Sensitive Rich Night Balm 10ml.

Very nice, would consider rebuying in future when I need a night cream.

  1. Kerastase Reparative Shampoo 30ml.

Felt nice for the occasional wash but I couldn't use this more than two washes in a row as my hair started to get greasier and my scalp got irritated.

  1. Lumene Nordic Hydra Intense Hydration Moisturiser 10ml.

Again very nice. I have a full size of this already in the stash. I'm starting to think that Lumene might be my go to for skin care (with MZ Skin when I'm feeling flush or can get it cheap on Vinted!).

I’m taking all my empties to SpaceNK this morning. They don’t do points or rewards for them but knowing they’ll be recycled will do for now!

You get vouchers for them at John Lewis if you have a store to take them to.

TragicMuse · 28/02/2026 12:06

That is true! But only redeemable on certain things I think?

You can use them for any beauty products. Of course that doesn’t help with the overloaded stash situation!

TragicMuse · 28/02/2026 12:50

Oh that’s interesting! I thought I’d read it was only on B Corp certified?

Oh, I didn’t know this! How does it work? Do you have to buy something to get vouchers? Or use the vouchers straight away?

TragicMuse · 28/02/2026 15:00

I have a feeling it’s straight away…

BIossomtoes · 28/02/2026 17:16

I used my last lot straight away. I had no idea there were restrictions, I just handed my purchase and vouchers over and they were deducted from the total. Maybe JL’s system isn’t sophisticated enough to differentiate.

Francestein · 28/02/2026 22:39

Two more empties…. Banila Co Vitamin C Cleansing Balm. (One of my very favourites. Smells lush.) HAIR+ Protein Bonding Mist in Peach. Great product, nothing kind of scent. I would love a punchy peach scent. The last one I had was in a discontinued scent called Woody Blanche and it was delicious. I have another peach one left (two pack) and am down to my last cleansing balm in the stash.

Yes, you’re right. I did know about this but discounted it due to the restrictions.

I haven't tried the Vit C version. I just started the Ceramide one last night, it's really nice.
