I’m on both threads - there’s a lot of crossover. I didn’t look to see where I was posting.
I was just replying to the pp who liked the Eve Lom serum as I had seen it earlier and was a bit tempted by it and thought it might be helpful
to link it.

I didn’t mean to detail the thread.

@BlueLimes I took your posts as impish and good-natured. I'm sorry you're having a sensitive day, I have those and am not a fan. You're all good.

This thread doesn't have a Shopping Addiction label on it. I think if it needs to be a totally safe zone then regular posters can agree on some guidelines and we can follow those. I've unwatched the beauty products and GWP thread because I have no willpower, but I didn't then expect we wouldn't mention purchases or offers from time to time on this thread.

Maybe something to chat about more widely - what do we need from this thread and what would help? Is it a shopper's rehab?

Thank you for being so kind.

SheilaFentiman · 13/01/2026 12:50

@Ilikeyoursleeves I have the Bluebell and Wild Strawberry MB in my perfume stash - it's nice but it fades quickly.

BlueLimes · 13/01/2026 11:16

@OchonAgusOchonOh its fine. I’m having a sensitive day.

But tbh it’s a bit much to be scolded on a thread - in general I mean, not specifically you.

As I said, my post was not directed at you personally. It was about the general direction the thread is taking. If you were the only person to post a couple of bargains it would have barely registered with me.

I'm sorry you're having a sensitive day but I really don't think my post could or should be interpreted as a personal scolding but rather, as I said, a commentary on the general direction of the thread.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 13/01/2026 13:02

Is anyone a fan of oud fragrances? I got the liberty box and it has Hera Reigns eau de perfum. Got something about resplendent feathers and that on the description. I just got back from a hospital appointment and it smells like I'm still there. No thank you. Free to a good home if anyone wants it.

keepincool · 13/01/2026 11:01

@OchonAgusOchonOh - how do you work out the expiry dates? I know there are apps that do this - but ones I've tried haven't come up with the product I'm trying to get the info on. Some of those were Boots products, so not very niche.

I didn't even know you could do that. I assume if it doesn't have an expiry date stamped on it, it will be grand pretty much forever. I'm just looking at ones with expiry dates stamped on them.

Caggie09 · 13/01/2026 13:09

Im sure i have seen a few people on this thread mention Beauty of Joseon spf's before.
I picked this one up today in Boots for a bargain price of £3.88! I dont tend to swap my SPF as i find it hard to find one that suits me. What's this one like if anyone has an opinion please😊

paristotokyo · 13/01/2026 13:15

@Caggie09That’s a great price! It’s a solid option. This one differs a little from the original which is better for drier skin as it’s more creamy and a dewy sort of finish. The aqua fresh that you have maybe better for oily/combo skin as it’s much lighter texture and a more semi-matte finish. It’s been said to be a good primer to be worn under make up. I prefer the OG (very dry skin girl!) but the formula with BOJ is great with no white caste.

Interested to hear about this. I have that one in my stash to use after I finish the round Lab one I'm currently using. I'm not great at remembering to use it during the winter though.

I like it when brands, mainly Korean in my experience, have a use by date. So helpful. I know uv and a few others do but mainly on sunscreen, nothing else.
You can check batch numbers online. Check fresh or similar but they dont have every brand or message the band directly.
Caroline hirons usually says when selling her kits that generally products are ok for 2 to 3 years unopened apart from vit c.
A guide if nothing else. If it smells or has separated then bin ofcourse but dates would be helpful. Even just a manufacturing date.

paristotokyo · 13/01/2026 13:27

A few more empties:
Tsubaki shampoo and conditioner hair fall care & repair - this has been great. Really love the smell, makes my hair soft and I have noticed a reduction in hair fall but that may actually be due to other things. I’ve bought the yellow version (volume and repair) to replace these.
Kate Sommerville goat milk body lotion - I absolutely love the cleanser from this range and it’s my HG but this was just meh. Not hydrating enough for me
BOJ spf - as mentioned below :) one of my favourites. I’m pretty much at the point of 1 out 1 in now across a couple of things like shampoo and spf.

Sorry for the terrible picture!

Caggie09 · 13/01/2026 13:32

@paristotokyo I'm willing to give it a go at that price! My skin is more dry than oily/combo. I wear makeup most days, though, so if it's a good primer, then that's a bonus. Thank you for that😊.

SheilaFentiman · 13/01/2026 13:33

One in one out is the dream @paristotokyo

paristotokyo · 13/01/2026 13:44

@SheilaFentimanhonestly I think I only really got there as I had a big move so before we did so I cleared a lot of things by gifting and selling. It forced me to really look at what I realistically would use and that could fit in my suitcase 😅 I don’t really count minis to be fair

Ilikeyoursleeves · 13/01/2026 15:04

I bought two cleansers today only cos I’m nearly out of my current one and I didn’t actually have any more!! Am I allowed to post the new ones up or are we really just aiming for empties on this thread?? I was excited cos one of them was £5.99 in TK Maxx instead of RRP £100 🥰

Doglover73 · 13/01/2026 15:07

Oh id like to know what you got, especially if a bargain 🤣

Fleecy · 13/01/2026 15:07

A couple of empties here but no photos as I chucked each one as soon as it was done.

  1. Lumene Nordic bloom anti-wrinkle day moisturiser - this was nice and a good winter day cream. I'm yet to find a Lumene product I don't like.
  2. Who is Elijah, Cherry Fiesta - I liked this. Not overpowering but did last well. Not a RP because it wasn't a love, but nice nonetheless.
  3. Valmont prime renewing pack - I think this was in the Harrods AC 2024. I used it as a day cream. It was good and my make up went on well over it, but I didn't find it worth the £££ so wouldn't rebuy. The smell made me think of old ladies. I have no idea why!

That's 3/100 for me.

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 13/01/2026 15:24

Nice to see the like for cherry fiesta. I liked it too and it inspired me to go completely cherry mad. Potentially a relief for my household considering I've been all about coconut scents since 2014.

@Ilikeyoursleeves I have 15 cleansers! How do you only have one? I need help 😆

DidILeaveTheGasOn · 13/01/2026 15:28

Also can anyone recommend a cream to stop my blinkin' legs itching after I've shaved? I'm currently trying an Aveeno one in the morning and a Eucerin urea repair one at bedtime, but it's day 2 post shave and my legs are annoyed.
Didn't have this problem when I got waxes regularly but so easy to add on a manicure, pedicure, brow tint and wax, lash tint and lift, before you know it you have to sell a kid to pay for all the treatments. Really want to resist the charms of the salon.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 13/01/2026 15:35

Lol @DidILeaveTheGasOn🤣 I actually don’t know how I only have one! I have a million shower gels and body lotions though!

I got these today:
Dr H Skincare foaming cleanser for £5.99 (RRP £100!!) and The Blue Cleanser Foaming gel for £6.99 (RRP £20). I like a wash off with water cleanser so will see what these are like! Anyone tried these before?

Definitely! That's cause for celebration. I can only dream of being down to my last cleanser.

Ilikeyoursleeves · 13/01/2026 15:46

@OchonAgusOchonOh I have 55 perfumes though 😳

Peridot1 · 13/01/2026 15:54

@Ilikeyoursleeves - I haven’t heard of either of those brands but just a warning that you do need to be careful with expiry dates with stuff from TK Maxx. You can get great bargains but sometimes it’s because they are close to expiry.

OchonAgusOchonOh · 13/01/2026 16:04

Ilikeyoursleeves · 13/01/2026 15:46

@OchonAgusOchonOh I have 55 perfumes though 😳

I got the HN fragrance advent in 2024 and then got the SNK one in 2025 so I may also be transferring my addiction. I'm wearing perfume every day but it does not seem to be diminishing. Maybe I need to start refreshing the ones that don't have lasting power

Ilikeyoursleeves · 13/01/2026 16:20

@Peridot1 ah I didn’t realise that! How do you know when they expire?? I can’t see anything on them
