Eyelashes in my 60s

I miss the lovely eyelashes of my youth. Even mascara doesn’t make much difference. Has anyone any recommendations for products/treatments suitable for a 64 year old.

Thank you, I’ll have a look

I use UK Lash. Amazing results.

Serum is your friend! You have to use it for the full 12 weeks and then upkeep but the results are incredible.

Thank you, I have ordered some. Let’s hope it takes me back to the 80s ( without the hair)

Be careful with using a prostaglandin based lash serum, it can cause fat loss to the under eye and give you a more hollow appearance.

Yes - this was my experience.
It was a pity though as my eyelashes go so so long!

My dsis asked for some for Xmas. I warned her but she wanted it anyway

Dd3 uses false eyelashes but not on a strip, they’re little clusters and are very subtle. Probably more for a night out than a long term solution.

Please don't use it. It has (can have) terrible consequences

Arlanymor · 28/10/2025 18:24

Is that the serum associated with changing the colour of your irises or have I got it confused with another?

FeelingFineNow · 28/10/2025 19:01

I'm 64 and have been using Rapid lash for years. I occasionally take a break and my eyelashes revert to stumpy nothingness very quickly.
You need to trust the process, it can take about six weeks to see the results but t it is amazing. I get mine from Amazon.

Which are?

I’ve had fantastic results with UK Lash. I love my long lashes.

2Rebecca · 28/10/2025 19:07

My eyelashes are more sparse now. They are pale so I get them dyed but the dye takes longer to work and is harder to apply as my upper eyelid skin is looser.

CharlieKirkRIP · 28/10/2025 19:08

Vaseline. My eyelashes are still lovely and full.

user927464 · 28/10/2025 19:12

I use revitalash. It's very good at giving me long eyelashes

However having used it for a few years I've noticed massive changes in my under eye area. I suspect they are related given the known issues with prostaglandin.

ColinVsCuthbert · 28/10/2025 19:48

I get an eyelash lift and tint, it lasts close to 3 months, and works wonders for my eyelashes. It doesn't pull them out or cause damage. It's basically a coloured perm.

Darklane · 28/10/2025 20:38

Be careful with UK Lash. I’ve tried it twice, did grow long lashes but after a few weeks my eyelids, both top & bottom turned deep purplish red so that I looked like I had two black eyes. Stopped using it but it took months for the discolouration to fade. I’d never even had a problem with dark circles before.

blueberrybeer · 28/10/2025 20:51

Thank you for all your comments. I notice Uk lash do a prostaglandin free serum so may give that a try

Would you mind sharing which one you used as they do three. Is it the one with prostaglandin?

I may try that

This. Many lash growth serums contain prostaglandins and they can cause your eyes to change colour to brown, and/or peri orbital fat loss which causes eyes to be hollow and sunken. Look for a brand that states it is prostaglandin free.

Mine lasts 6 weeks max and then there’s the period of half being curled and the other half being new lashes that grow straight so it’s not worth it for me.

Tryingatleast · 28/10/2025 21:44

I’ve extremely short lashes and was about to buy a serum about a year ago but there’s actually a few threads on here with people saying they had negative effects:(
