Eyelashes in my 60s

I miss the lovely eyelashes of my youth. Even mascara doesn’t make much difference. Has anyone any recommendations for products/treatments suitable for a 64 year old.

I’ve extremely short lashes and was about to buy a serum about a year ago but there’s actually a few threads on here with people saying they had negative effects:(

I’ve ordered one but think I will return and order one without the prostaglandin. May not be as effective but not worth the risk

I was told to go for brown mascara rather than black as you age - well that's been a revelation! Stops looking so harsh and false but does definitely look more natural thicker eyelashes. I use a L'oreal one. www.boots.com/loreal-paris-volume-million-lashes-balm-brown-volumising-mascara--10308899

My prostaglandin one definitely works but Ive definitely lost fat under my eyes and the area looks dark. There is also dark discolouration along my lash line

This thread is the first time I’ve heard anything about there being issues with using serums. I’ve been using UK Lash for months and don’t have any of the issues mentioned on here.

I tried to find the thread but couldn’t and can’t even remember their issues but after that I looked at lower star reviews on different websites and I’m unlucky enough with sensitive skin that I would be the person that it wouldn’t work on!!!

I seem to recall a thread where people were saying serums had changed their eye colour 😬

I don't think you've researched them properly then. There have been studies and articles for a good few years.

It's a gradual effect IME but I definitely have darkening and hollowing under the eyes

Lilash and Librow, used for years and they are amazing.

Thank you for all your posts and suggestions. I’m reading them all although now completely confused 😀

I just get my lashes tinted black at a salon - not curled or lifted. Then I use my eyelash curlers and a coat of Clinique mascara on the top lashes for extra oomph.
