Stunning 🤩

It's lovely. Think it would work best on dark haired though.

I have a pointy toe skinny heel shoe boot type. Suede at the front, patent snakeskin at the back. Also a cut out at the side. I wonder if they will work.

I don’t know about the snake skin ( they sound lovely though ) with the detail on the dress ?
I think plain black suede be nicer ..

Oh great THANK YOU!! I really dont trust my own judgement, and worry about "my age".

same, but lately disturbia has been popping up on my vinted feed and I like quite a lot of it, it feeds my inner goth without being super obvious or campy

Viviennemary · 22/10/2025 22:02

I really like it. But only if its a party type event.

latetothefisting · 23/10/2025 08:40

henlake7 · 22/10/2025 19:38

It is a pretty colour and looks perfect for party wear. Only thing that puts me off is the polyester and the price.

Disturbia is my second favourite brand and I have tons of their dresses (i really love the skater style and shirt dresses) but I usually only buy them in the sales as I don't think they are worth full price.
They do gorgeous embroidery on their pieces though and I think the knitwear and tailored things are worth it.

Edited

Being nosy but what is your first favourite? I like disturbia too so you clearly have good taste!

I'm guessing it might be Toast, because those are mine for sure.

Not really my price range unfortunately, but I do love the drapey silhouettes on Toast clothes.
Favourite brand is Joanie Clothing, which is very different then Disturbia vibes!😁
I tend to like things that are abit alt but not too extreme, I find Disturbia to be 'gothish' but not quite on the level of Killstar or Hell Bunny for example.

Interesting. Not come across Joanie before.
I think it's good to cherry pick from different brands. I mix Disturbia with Fat Face and Seasalt. The only Toast items I own are a few long checked dresses from the sale - they're definitely out of my price range otherwise.

henlake7 · 23/10/2025 09:40

ooooh, they do a second hand section too! Love that! (must stop looking....I have enough clothes!LOL)😂
Disturbia is good to add abit of 'flavour' to outfits, isnt it? I have a few of their chunky belts which really adds something to outfits. Im trying to work out if I can rock one of their harnesses in my 50s (I know my answer will be 'eh, f**k it!!).😎

Sorry to derail the OPs thread. Its because its a no brainer, you will look amazing in that dress and boots. 😉

Irenesortof · 23/10/2025 09:42

Youll have to try it on to know if it suits you. The high waist wouldn’t work for me. Great colour and fun!

Leighonseawoman · 23/10/2025 12:25

That is gorgeous. Go girl,!! You willlook great

Illbefinejustbloodyfine · 23/10/2025 13:32

There's a size 18 on vinted, shames its not a size or 2 smaller!

I'm in my early 70s and I have that dress. I'm wearing it over the winter at several events paired with a fitted dark green and black velvet jacket and black, Edwardian lace up boots. I'm slim with silver hair and I look fabulous. Any age can wear it and pair it with whatever suits you and your style. Here are the boots (got mine in their sale - another coming on Black Friday):

Feminine soft Edwardian boot with pompadour heel, 1900-1915 - Black - Rose

An elegant Edwardian-inspired lace-up boot made of very soft leather.  The boot is a typical Edwardian style with a pointed toe, very close fitting and an Edwardian French pompadour heel.  The heel is a copy of an original heel from this period, so the...

Not amazing right now as I'm wearing a fleece, joggers & slippers but I scrub up well!
