Facelift etc..

I’m looking to have face “refreshment” surgery in Nordesthetics Clinic in Lithuania. (lift, upper lid reduction and possibly brow lift) …i’m ( suddenly!) in late 50’s and after few tough years and losing few stones I want to feel good and reward myself for once.
I’m fatigued after researching uk options, and not finding a clear winner for me, but I’ve found this clinic to have excellent reviews and the least percentage of poor reviews so far … ( of those with 500 + reviews , except the one uk surgeon who charges from 35k for a facelift .. )…so I’ve decided to bite the bullet and book …any recommendations, advice or experience with them you can share, would be great , (first or second hand),most reviews I read were about great body surgery, and general high standards but not more specific about individual surgeons etc ..so, I don’t have nearly as much specific info as I would like …thank you !

£17-30k apparently depending on where it’s done and who does it. Guess I’ll have to do with a basic hold up the surplus skin and trim off the excess!

A good old fashioned wind tunnel face lift for me as well! 😂

And presumably if there are any issues you expect the NHS to sort you out and pick up the bill?

Rude, so what if she does

There is a beauty influencer called 'diaryofabeauytygeek' on youtube who is about to go to this particular clinic for surgery. She is having a arm pit lift, removing fat from her upper arms and a breast lift. She will be documenting her experience on YouTube and I'm sure there will be others that have done so. Her treatment isn't sponsored at least that is what she says and she was able to join a closed Facebook group to discuss surgeons and see pics from people who have had their surgery. I of course, am not suggesting this be your only route of research.

With any surgery abroad it is important to consider all the extra costs like flights, accommodation, food, needing someone else to go out with you etc. The most important thing though would be the aftercare and what that looks like, could you afford return trips or do they have options where you could get that back in the UK? I'd take your time and research all your options.

Ohhhhhhh, I want arm lift, will look for her

Hi, thank you so much , that’s really good advice … and so exciting about your thigh lift! This is one I’d benefit from hugely, but don’t feel brave enough to take it on yet …I’ve seen some inspiring and even life changing results …best of luck … have you booked it all? Keep us posted! 🥳

Yeah all booked & paid for, will sort flights close to the time but I've looked and there is only one airport that does direct flight for me but I'll be using that, & I'm booked in to stay at nords (you don't pay for that until you get there though).

I've a friend who had a MMO & her scars are soo good, you wouldn't know until you know. She rated her experience 10/10 completely and she'd previously had implants in the UK and reckons they just don't compare at all, the standard of care at nords was miles ahead.

You go for it, and enjoy your new face!!

Looking at Priscilla Presley and Meg Ryan is enough to put me off.

These aren't normal women though are they. They are millionaires surrounded by sycophants and yes men plastic surgeons. P.presley looks like she's had her face cut in two and sewn back together. I only want one facelift not 10 like Jordan.

Gettingbysomehow · 21/10/2025 19:08

I had a mastopexy (breast lift) done in the UK which went horribly wrong and I had to pay another surgeon to correct it. This was in the 1980s post breastfeeding when I had two golf balls in knee length socks. I've done my research properly this time. Surgery can go wrong anywhere. You really do need to do the groundwork wherever you go.

I have heard great things about that clinic. I had a deep plane facelift at Coppergate in York in April, it achieved my objectives and I am happy with the outcome.. It was important to me to have it done in this country and I had total faith in my surgeon Mr Chris West.

Could I ask how much that cost? I’m quite interested in the DP lift but haven’t got as far as consultation because it seems like it would be pricey.

WhoInvitedHer · 21/10/2025 21:16

HeadDeskHeadDesk · 21/10/2025 17:09

Would you mind saying what you paid for that? I think I will probably end up going with a deep plane as well and I will probably do it in the UK so I need to have an idea of cost. Did this include blephoplasty as well?

I paid 16k plus 2k for an upper blephroplasty at the same time. It also included some fat transfer

WhoInvitedHer · 21/10/2025 21:37

That’s at Coppergate

That seems to be a good price in the UK for those procedures. Thanks for sharing.

Otterdrunk · 21/10/2025 23:07

I think the comments re the NHS having to step in to fix any botched work are fair.
It’s also an issue with cosmetic dentistry & how many dentists won’t touch botched previous work done overseas (& certainly not NHS dentists).

WhoInvitedHer · 21/10/2025 23:10

NHS doesn’t fix botched work but obviously if you developed an infection etc the NHS would treat it. It’s important to note the NHS treats a lot of ‘lifestyle’ health issues so I don’t feel this is any different.

Evergreen21 · 22/10/2025 00:16

@Stuckoncrossroads glad you found my post helpful. My suggestion to watch the upcoming vlog was more from a viewpoint of seeing in real terms how she gets on and info she might share on the process. I wouldnt let this sway you to make a decision, but it might be useful to see what happens through the process of initial queries to going ahead with a procedure, having the procedure and aftercare.

I think you are doing exactly the right thing to check out trustpilot. I'd also be looking up accreditation of the surgeons and checking they are registered with the relevant medical councils. It might be with checking if they can put you in touch with real people who have had surgery from there.

Stuckoncrossroads · 21/10/2025 15:26

Hi… thank you so much for your posts … i am so excited for you and found your posts really informative and helpful…can i ask which surgeon you decided would be best for you and what medical insurance? I feel so similar regarding wanting to feel and look good for myself really ( and also not bothering with body too much atm .. it’s too much work in my case !).. I found lots of great feedback for body work but not much feedback about face lifts and one very poor recent feedback for facelift ( check Trustpilot, it got me worried, but no clinic/ surgeon has a 100% success rate ..and obviously I don’t know enough details ..), I look forward to any updates or information you might want to share as you approach your surgery date .. thank you 🌹

Thank you. Im having Dr Urbonas. He trained in plastics in France. I haven't decided what medical insurance yet but I know it will be more expensive as Im 63. Get your iron checked. They won't do the surgery if you are anaemic. I've had an iron transfusion recently so Im ok.

NutellaEllaElla · 22/10/2025 18:17

The reviews are paid for, be so so careful

Thank you, I haven’t thought of that … I tend to be borderline anaemic , so will definitely get this checked ..

That’s the thing ..there are often incentives to give good reviews and make a lot of praise noise ….that’s why it’s taking me longer than I would like ugh .. thank you!

@Evergreen21 yes, that’s definitely helpful, to be able to see what it’s actually like first hand is priceless .. so, really appreciate it, and all the contributions, it’s all been really helpful and I feel I’m finally progressing and less in circles… I have 2 new ‘finalists’ , so down to three … i would love to get this done within about 5-6 weeks , not sure it’s realistic or not , so ideally , I’d like to make a final decision& book,in the next week 😬.. if I don’t, I’ll get busy with other things, and another year will pass before I know it … I’ll post separately for feedback on my “‘finalists’

@Vodka1 ..yay..you seem all set to go .. so exciting ! .. I would want to stay with them as well, I heard you really feel looked after there. The 10/10 for such extensive surgery is super reassuring ..fingers crossed for your procedure! Thank you .. loving the thought of my new face all smug 😆

Thanks everyone for taking the time to share your thoughts 🌹
Has anyone had any facelift experience with my other 2 finalists :
1-prof Ajay L Mahajan, from AM Aesthetic Surgery, especially mini/midi lifts

https://www.realself.com/dr/ajay-mahajan-bingley-united-kingdom#expertise-face-and-neck-lifts

https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/amaestheticsurgery.uk?stars=1&stars=5

2-COPPERGATE CLINIC … for Vr facelift ( @WhoInvitedHer
said you had a deep facelift, I would absolutely love if you could share more… I was thrilled to read you were so satisfied with your procedure .. )

Both do their own techniques / variations of a less invasive facelift ( lifting the under tissues as well/smas, but not the deep ones as in deep lift), and under local anaesthesia, with impressive results for lower face / jowls etc..and excellent feedback … both do consultations ( £150), I booked a consultation with prof Mahahan for next week….(he has waiting lists , but can do local anaesthetic procedures within 2-3 weeks!)… any input would be amazing …thank you everyone 🌹

Ajay L Mahajan is rated "Excellent" with 4.9 / 5 on Trustpilot

OP, I am still at the research stage but watching with interest at your 2 finalists.

I am impressed you want this done in 5-6 weeks; Is that just to get booked in or also getting procedure done? That would take it very close to Christmas.

Have you given up on Nordesthetics in Lithuania? If so, can I ask why?

ShakespearesMuse · 24/10/2025 18:44

Great research.
Just to add to reassure you, after seeing a comment in the thread; I myself left 💯 genuine reviews in Trustpilot and RealSelf after I had my surgery 5 yrs ago with the view of helping others.
None were paid for reviews so you can believe majority I think.
As you research more I think you become more confident and savvy with your choices.
I am interested in a less invasive neck lift in 2026 under local anaesthetic.
I know you are a face-lift but I am following your journey with interest and have saved the links to your short list.
Good Luck !

Stuckoncrossroads · 25/10/2025 09:52

@blueshoes Hi..I haven’t given up on Nords but while I saw impressive body transformations and great reviews,I don’t feel I got enough info/pics/ feedback specifically for deep plane facelift there .. (there is one v recent really bad facelift review ..I didn’t find their response to the negative feedback reassuring either)..so, still hoping to get more clarity.
For a smaller procedure, under local, I understood that it can be done within 2 weeks after consultation (booked for Tuesday), so, that’d work well for me, (a bit bruised for Christmas but fine for my January holiday, I would like to think), otherwise it would have to be early February, which is probably more sensible ..for a mini lift I feel more brave, and that the sooner the better ..

OP posts:
Stuckoncrossroads · 25/10/2025 10:34

Thank you @ShakespearesMuse ..i have no doubt you shared your experience honestly 🌹..for reviews,I almost only look atTrustpilot ( and RealSelf/ Reddit a bit), I’m quite sceptical about other social media/influencers (great to follow journeys/see transformations, but I do realise for many, it’s a paid job and not necessarily the full story, and don’t have much time to go down the rabbit hole..so overwhelming for me 🤯) .. you are right, research is so crucial …and you do get better at it .. but also I’m getting frustrated and impatient 😖😊 and part of me just wants to take the leap … that’s why I’m now considering AM mini lift …professor M performs them himself and is very experienced and calm,I like what I read about him and looking forward to consultation with him on Tuesday. Not sure it’s best value for £, especially when combined with anything else … I’m thinking why not go all in then ( deep plane ) …I do need to keep researching.. ( would you mind sharing more about your first procedure that you were happy with , surgeon etc ..or guide me to your feedbacks you mentioned ? Also, do you have anyone in mind for neck work? Neck is so important ! You don’t know that until it changed ! Ugh … there’s only one way out 😆)

Hi WholnvitedHer ..after going back& forth ..Coppergate clinic is one of my finalists now..thank you for sharing your experience & surgeon; that helped me 🌹.. I keep checking them, they seem really good, I like how they take feedback seriously and don’t give generic responses ..the only thing concerning me is I can’t see b/a photos of deep plane facelifts , (there are photos of other facelifts), i also looked at other less invasive lifts they do ( Vr lift),but now weighing between that and deep plane… despite price tag , I feel it might be better value for £ and more natural look hopefully… you are the only ‘real’ person I know of who had this direct experience, so if you can share anything more , that would be just amazing. Anything about levels of pain/length of recovery, face changes as in looking different rather than more youthful/ fresh, the “twilight anaesthesia” experience .. ( my daughter is training as an anaesthesiologist, but nothing like a firsthand patient experience !), aftercare … anything you wish would have been different…i am looking to book a consultation, would love to hear from you , thanks so much.
