WFH Trousers

What do you wear when working from home that's warm and comfy but still makes you feel reasonably put together? I'm sick of wearing ratty tracksuit bottoms with my nice sweaters on the top! I want something soft and stretchy, with an elasticated waist, but not looking too tracksuity. Any advice?

I got some really nice elasticated waist wide leg trousers from M&S and River Island

Kuretake thanks a million, I'm going to order some too! What a revelation 😁

I have a pair of wide leg elasticated trousers from M&S which are great for this. But I also just wear joggers sometimes!

I have same as one of my options. However, I normally wear a comfy denim skirt, no tights if I'm in the house and not leaving it until work day is done. I don't need anything to keep me warm because I don't feel the cold esp and the house isn't esp cold.

I bought these recently and I’m v pleased with them so far.

I bought the cheap M&S wide leg ones last year and they shrunk badly after the first wash so I can’t recommend them!

+1 for these

I wear this top and bottom in ivory, blue, and burgundy. The wide leg and elegant color make it really nice for lounging about during the day.

Cord trousers from Next are my current favourite WFH. They feel like tracksuit trousers, very stretchy, but they look and feel a bit more respectable.

I think I got one of the last 10R black pairs on the planet (most other sizes are all gone).
I hope they don't come up big - I am a comfortable 10 in real life, but Next can be a bit daft.

Why are you bothered what yr trousers look like, if they are comfy and warm?

It's about defining work days vs non-work days for me.

Jersey Wide Leg Trousers with Stretch | M&S | M&S

These in all colours. I wore them to work when I was in the office and also while I was working at home. Since I've retired I've bought them in various colours. They are so easy to dress up or dress down. Love them.

I have these in bootleg style, they are perfect. Completely comfortable and still dressy enough to run errands at lunch time without getting changed.

these are great, I’m too short and wide for wide leg trousers these are mire fitted which balances my shape better - fairly heavy fabric too so feel warm. Worn for WFH and school runs.

I wish they came in navy! I don't often wear black.

GarlicPound · 20/10/2025 23:16

How are so many of you happy with trousers that have no pockets? I even require pockets in my leggings!

DeemonLlama · 20/10/2025 23:34

I wear Llama Leisure joggers. They always make me smile and are seasonal. They are so soft and warm I just love them ❤️ https://llamaleisure.com

YehaaYessir · 22/10/2025 23:09

Stockings suspenders and a lace thong only on the bottom half when WFH. It makes Teams meetings more bearable lol.

dudsville · 23/10/2025 12:15

I have a few pairs of comfortable cords. Not the pull on kind, they have a button and zip. They're wide leg and easy to wear, and they look smart paired with a warm jumper, casually professional.
