WFH Trousers

What do you wear when working from home that's warm and comfy but still makes you feel reasonably put together? I'm sick of wearing ratty tracksuit bottoms with my nice sweaters on the top! I want something soft and stretchy, with an elasticated waist, but not looking too tracksuity. Any advice?

These are just what I’ve been looking for! Just ordered!

Me too, just ordered a brown pair. Annoyingly the black ones sold out while they were in my bloody basket. But I consoled myself with a Reiss cord jumpsuit in the sale, £55 down from £228 🙂

NormaMajors1992coat · 17/10/2025 18:30

Just catching up on the thread and now assuming it was someone on here who snatched the black cords from under my nose 😂

Caplin · 17/10/2025 18:41

I have many colours colours of Hush joggers, mainly from Vinted. But they have lovely new ones straight leg with a stripe which look fab.But they have loads of styles and are super comfy and warm.

KindCompassion · 17/10/2025 18:57

Silk wide leg trousers with an elasticated waist from m and s

WFHforevermore · 17/10/2025 19:14

Why are you bothered what yr trousers look like, if they are comfy and warm?

ButterPiesAreGreat · 17/10/2025 19:36

I live in Snag leggings. They've just released fleecy ones for winter and I couldn’t add to basket fast enough.

Clearly you don’t.

Notjustabrunette · 17/10/2025 22:55

Fleece lined leggings. I get mine from m&s.

Not sure what you mean?

Stressybetty · 17/10/2025 23:12

I just have nicer jogging bottoms. Mine are from tog24

these are great, I’m too short and wide for wide leg trousers these are mire fitted which balances my shape better - fairly heavy fabric too so feel warm. Worn for WFH and school runs.

Branleuse · 18/10/2025 12:21

Smarter joggers!

UnintentionalArcher · 19/10/2025 12:16

I’ve been looking for similar but long/tall versions. I’m on maternity leave so have gone from being a professional jumper-dress wearer for casual days to needing comfy trousers to pair with camisole tops for feeding.

34 inch inside leg so sometimes actual tall ranges are too long for me as I’m only 5’10”, but regular lengths can be way too short.

I’d be for any recommendations anyone has.

@buffyreboot Thanks - I love the animal print ones though it says the long inside leg is only 31 inches. Do you reckon that’s right from your experience or do they come up longer?

ETA - Ah I think it’s the XL tall ones I would need - the sizing was confusing me as I assumed that meant they were also just XL size!

Edited

Mine are ankle length but not cropped ankle length if you see what I mean,l they look good with trainers or sandals and I wear the long
i I think the size chart is probably a bit off as I’m always fine with long in next trousers

Amelanchier · 19/10/2025 20:24

Try Ninepine. I like their Asana trousers. Multiple lengths and colours. More expensive than M&S jersey trousers but wash and wear amazingly with no bagginess. Price per wear has been minimal.

Doggymummar · 19/10/2025 20:30

Apartment pants or Hollister or Uniqlo pull up trousers

thenewaveragebear1983 · 19/10/2025 20:40

I got some lovely black wide joggers from tU, with a cream stripe down the side. Really fleecy on the inside, they have washed really well as well.

uselesseuphless · 19/10/2025 20:47

https://www.hush-uk.com/pinstripe-wide-leg-jogger-grey-stripe/014207-4727.html these are great!

abracadabra1980 · 19/10/2025 20:57

@Kuretakethanks for this link - love them, however there’s barely single pair left. Does anyone on this thread know how often next replenish their stock - they must carry low stock as I always have this problem 🙄

Ihatemondays1962 · 19/10/2025 21:05

What is the length like on the Next cords, a lot of the reviews say they are too long.

AutumnCosy2025 · 19/10/2025 21:10

Fleece lined legging from Costco. They're nothing like what I imagined when I read 'fleece lined' I had visions if struggling to get heavy leggings on & making my kegs look (even) fatter! But they don't. I LIVE. The black ones, not so much the beige/grey ones. Warm, comfortable ...

im under 5ft & 'wide legged' anything just doesn't work.
