Wide leg jeans recommendations

So I'm stepping away from mom Jean to wide legged and I need ones that are super high waisted, can almost skirt over lower belly rather than cling to it and are good quality denim!

Please let me know if you've encountered a jean such as this!🩷

I tried these on in store (to replace my previous M&S wide legs which are wearing out). They look great but unfortunately I now seem to be between sizes, my usual size was too tight, but when I went up a size it gaped at the back of the waistband. It’s annoying as my previous M&S wide leg pair fitted perfectly, but the fabric was quite soft and hasn’t worn well.

I got some from White Stuff, I think it was the Ayla ones.

I agree re the New Look Adalae jeans. I am 5ft 7 and bought the short length and they are just right though.

These ones from Next! Wide-legged, high-waisted, not expensive, 4 colours to choose from. I get comments on them a lot and I love them.

I'm tallish and usually buy long-fitting, but the regular are a good length.

Just off to order the Fatface Welling jeans. Would you say they come up large/ small/ true to size?

I’ve recently bought a few pairs of And/Or jeans which are a John Lewis own brand and they are all so well made and nice thick denim.

I have the Levi’s rib cage ones and I really like them- super flattering on my apple shape. But Sainsbury’s have impressed me with their jeans this year and they also do some wide leg ones. I haven’t tried them, though.

Crikey, I've always thought M&S as an unfashionable store but I agree with a pp who suggested M&S, I've just got some great jeans from there and a pair of black wide leg work trousers.
They have loads of choice, loads of styles, I was really impressed

They have been good for jeans for a while now IMO.

I've just bought New Look Adalae in light blue and Next wide leg in Black. Really happy with both.

Another vote for Halara - they're incredibly good quality and have lots of lovely cuts and colours. Once you know your size in Halara, you can pick up some great bargains on Vinted.

I've got these and I LOVE them.

I got some fabulous dark brown wide leg from Mango last week, very comfortable and my 22yr old is threatening to borrow them. Sainsbury's jeans are also surprisingly good.

Been looking for some brown jeans for weeks and having read that you bought some I’ve discovered that Mango have quite a few pairs, albeit they all look quite long. Which ones did you go for please? Thanks

I got some from Zara - the were called the relaxed oversize wide leg. They don’t seem to have those particular ones online anymore, but they have a few that look similar.

have you thought about barrel leg as an option? I wasn’t convinced but I got some from mint velvet that are very flattering. A colleague has some from Uniqlo which are also nice. Easier to wear in the rain too!

Another vote for Levi's ribcage wide leg. Super flattering. I have 3 colours now. Just noticed they're discounted in the Amazon Prime sale. I would suggest sizing down an inch down from what your actual waist measurement is e.g. I'm 27 inch, but wear 26.

Another vote for Levi’s. I went into their shop locally recently and the assistant was super helpful. Like you, I’ve not really worn wide leg before so needed to try on quite a few options.
My DD17 says I look younger in them - winner!
