There's also 10% off the £440 Harrods exclusive Elemis BAC.

Also Clarins 24 day.

It's gorgeous 😍 and it has the Gris dior and rose star fragrances which I love. But I couldn't even afford it even if it was a tenth of the price 🤣 The j'adore circus box is gorgeous too 😍

Right, having decided I wasn't going to buy any (more) calendars I've gone for Harrods! Like others have said it feels like such a treat to try things I wouldn't otherwise, plus the box looks lovely and I know I'll enjoy opening it. Looking forward to the opening threads now!

Wowzers! 😍

IlovePond · 28/09/2025 17:57

I would have gone for the hair and beauty Harrods a/c if it was still in-stock with 10% off, but couldn’t face hours on the m/way to get to H Beauty in-person, only to probably discover it sold out yesterday!

Oh well - I certainly don’t need more hair clips and scrunchies! (But it’s such a pretty calendar!)

I had a look in-store at SNK as there is 20% off today but it’s a very small shop and nothing really appealed.

I'm the same, I love having that taste of luxury that I could never afford if harrods didn't do this. A full size night cream would've been nice like the last few years but I still thought it was worth purchasing. The last few years there's not been a rewards weekend until the advent calendar has sold out so I wasn't expecting one this year so bought it as soon as I could afford to.

But it's also why I'm buying what people don't want from their advent calendars as the sizes are so small in harrods, I know it won't last me long.

I wish they had included a full size of the Tatcha night cream, especially considering which day it is in.
I feel they included so many amazing products and then right at the end of the calendar it is a bit disappointing, which is why I swapped round the products a bit.

I am hoping that despite the small sizes, the moisturisers last longer than the average as you don’t need to apply as much. I think on one of the reviews of the Le Mer cream it said that you only need to apply a small amount so it lasts a while.

I've had a 5ml pot before. I think it lasted around 8 days just applying at night. You're meant to use a small amount and warm it in your fingers first before pressing it into the skin. I'd like to try the soft version which behaves more like a regular cream. The Vogue calendar has both in it.

I've had the la mer cream before, it is true, it does last longer then you think it would. But I like the calendar to last me almost 6 months and I don't think it will this year 😐 or maybe that's just an excuse I've told myself so I can buy loads of crap on vinted 🤣 I agree about the tatcha, it should be full size. Product order, I agree, it does seem to peak a little early that's why I've swapped too 😇

Ah ok. I have read a few reviews that say you only need a pea sized amount so was hoping it would last longer than the cheaper moisturisers.
As for the Valmont cream, I am hoping it gives me a total facelift for the price of it! 😂

I would've ordered the hair and beauty if I'd realised it had 10% off 😕 I like the champo serum and the oribe shampoo and conditioner then the other stuff would've been basically free 😁 The Harrods chocolate bear calendar is also very pretty 😍🐻

OvaHere · 28/09/2025 17:16

I'm in the same camp. Also discovered them last year when stuff seemed to go quickly but I know years prior to that from longstanding buyers that a lot of BACs were reduced.

It's a bit of a gamble because you could wait and miss out. I'm not too mad about Harrods because I bought mine with a CC offer that took £20 off. Although obviously if I'd waited I'd have had £45 off.

I'll probably hold my fire more next year but then watch that be the year that everything sells out quickly. 🤔

I love the Harrods calendar now I've got it, the box and everything about it feels like a proper lux treat so I'm just going to try and be zen about it even if the price drops further. Tbh if it goes down as far as £175 as a PP said it has done before I may buy another one for double the skincare.

I’ve been buying BACs since 2019 and tbh, I think it’s always worth buying the one (or two!) that you love most straight away. Discounts are so unpredictable and never guaranteed, so I’d rather pay full price for my favourites than risk missing out. You can always pick up extras later if other calendars are discounted 😀

I probably didn't stick to the pea size amount. I have dry skin and that didn't feel like enough to me.

pinkchampagne1 · 28/09/2025 18:42

I wonder if the Harrods calendar will sell out now it is discounted

Agree with @MidnightMeltdown , if it’s something you love it’s worth buying it, but there’s also no need for FOMO buying. Someone once told me the number of dry cleaners on a street is a reflection on the economy - I feel BACs are the same! The huge discounts across all retailers were after the COL. Last year was probably people’s first Christmas back to spending and they sold out and retailers weren’t prepared. They probably also base their supply chain based on previous years so there’ll be an unpredictable lag effect. I do think most will sell out pay day October though.

I know this is for beauty advent calendars, but I need to share that I've bought the Harrods Christmas chocolate bear advent calendar. The box is stunning and I have such a weakness for Christmas teddy bears 😍🐻

£5 off Glossybox BAC with code 5ADVENT, still not for me but might tempt some?

I think edits over the last 4/5 months have been a bit of a canary indicating that BAC season might not be quite like last year. The CB edits that used to sell out in a day are hanging around quite a while and some for weeks or months. The Fenty and Sculpted by Aimee edits are still there and have just been discounted quite a bit. The Boots edits also are not going quickly.

I feel like companies won't do as many edits in the next 12 months and the one's they do won't be as much of a bargain as the last couple of years.

shinny · 28/09/2025 19:36

I love this thread! I’d sworn off a BAC until DH said you love them so get one. I don’t have stashes like some of you but I hate oils and serums which rules out several. I’ve noticed an increase in perfumes in many BAC which is interesting as it’s making me venture into this previously unexplored world.

Im loving Liberty and maybe JL and M&S plus Elle or You for DD. Next Premium and Boots Luxury also look amazing. Interesting that’s some of you are predicting discounts this year. Let’s hope so!

I went into F&M today as wanted to see the real thing in all its glory but it’s sold out in store. Staff were very nice and Contents were in a plastic box and looked quite lovely but it’s not on my list. I fancy a really luxurious one but not worth it if I’m not going to use half the products. It’s v tricky to decide!

BlueLimes · 28/09/2025 19:37

Oh I can’t decide re Harrods’.
a plus point would be that I’d stop looking, writing lists, boring DH and be able to get on with normal non advent life.

BakeOffRewatch · 28/09/2025 19:42

@shinny F&M is sold out in store!? I was just considering that one as I love the box and I don’t own anything in it but would use everything except the clary sage perfume. So it would be festive and nice surprise.

I’ve just looked and I can get £20 cashback too
So it would be £205 (sorry to people who missed out on the discount).

Space NK fragrance coming soon £160.

Oh no! I thought I wasn’t going to have to spend any more money this year! 😆😆
