Wedding Dresses - Show me yours ....

Just noticed there are a couple of people on MN planning weddings at the moment.

Does anyone want to show their wedding dress ?

Obviously, already marrieds with any pics of theirs are also welcome

Indulge me - I'm bored and a teeny bit wedding dress obsessed at the moment (looking for mine for November)

There are so few strapless dresses around though - but I do agree with you Lavenders.

I may have some straps put on mine (the shop can order extra fabric). I'm quite broad shouldered (or as my darling mother says- I have a fat back ) and straps might break it up a bit. It also means I can wear a proper bra which is a definite bonus. Will see what it looks like

Blue - get out to some shops soon and come and show us what you like Dress shopping is great - although it drives me mad that most of the samples seem to be a size 10-12 and the sizes are small. The one time in your life you want vanity sizing....

i have no budget set yet flame. trying to do the whole thing for as little as poss. about £1k if possible!! (for the WHOLE wedding)
I am going to go hunting with my sister soon in places like debenhams

also, being measured up is too scary (and makes me vomit) so i want something 'off the rail'

and i have baby weight to lose

and wobbles to tone up

CoV - your wedding pic looks like a trailer for a glamourous 1950's film It would definitely pass the "Grace Kelly" test

Tis a shame you are a very different shape to me, or I would have gotten my dress out for you

Got married in March 2005. This isn't me in the photo, mind you.

Stargazing my friend had that dress in 2004! Gorgeous isn't it, what colour did you have your bridesmaids, she went for the green.

Tilly - haven't got the dress yet - going to try it on a week on Saturday so I'll let you know!

Ooh, go for green. I got married in green velvet and ivory, but it's so long ago now, that I don't think I've got any picutres in digital format!! Also got married in November.
(On a weekday, for largely economic reasons. You can get huge discounts on all sorts of things if you get married on a Thursday in November. After all, what else are they going to be doing with their wedding cars on that day?)
Anyone who commented on it being unlucky was told to look out the window. Doesn't green seem to be God's favourite colour?

here is mine. We got married in Florida in 2005. My dress is a very pale pink with just the ruffle down the side- no other detail at all. I loved it and still do.
