Help! Need jeans for teen with size 8 waist, large bum and 34inch leg

Not only that she wants super baggy (so no clinging at all on the butt or thighs), dark denim and cargo pockets if possible. It's a really hard body shape to buy for with those specs and after trying on everything in H&M (mostly too short) and Zara (wrong cut/too old), buying tall cargo's online from New Look (crotch too high and too tight on thighs) and some from Tall Next (wrong style) I'm throwing in the towel. Her previous 32'' are now ankle swingers though and I know with winter coming I can't bear to see her in those super short shorts they're all in 😱 - help! She's alternative so as baggy as they come seems to be the key.

ASOS has a fantastic tall range of their own but also stocks Topshop Tall and other brands tall ranges.

TaupeMember · 20/08/2025 19:27

Try a range of styles in next tall

Gymbunny2025 · 20/08/2025 19:30

Levi worth a look

Loiste · 20/08/2025 19:30

Weekday and monki now sell from same website. Baggy jeans galore, not sure if 34 leg but at least weekday tend towards a longer cut

jeansgenie · 20/08/2025 19:32

Thanks, I have looked at both sites and can't find anything that seems to fit the bill as they are all quite straight, even when wide. I feel like she just wants a sack to be honest!

I'll take a look at Weekday, thanks!
I did look at Levi but think she would need to try them on as some of the pictures looked too tight on their baggy ones for her. Annoyingly our high street shop closed a few years ago...

Urban outfitters are probably your best bet- they come up long in general with their brands and they do the super baggy ones (I teach teens and most of them are wearing some variant of Urban Outfitters baggies)

jimmypug · 20/08/2025 19:50

Don’t just look at girls on there- loads of them wear unisex or men’s with smaller waist sizes

TheTwenties · 20/08/2025 19:53

Stradivarius have great jeans - worth seeing if they have anything suitable. Getting a little bit creative she can open up each side of the waistband, thread elastic through, stitch one side and pull the other tight, then stitch in to create a half elastic waistband.

Chaotica · 20/08/2025 20:02

Long Tall Sally? They start at 34" leg usually although I don't know if they'll have the right styles.

River island

MynameisJune · 20/08/2025 20:04

Abercrombie do wide leg jeans and different leg lengths. Not sure if they have cargo pockets though

slug · 20/08/2025 20:32

DD has a similar shape. When she was a teenager she lived in Gap jeans. She also finds Monki fit her.

jeansgenie · 21/08/2025 09:09

Thank you! Those UO ones look good too and I think Weekdays will become a staple to shop at.

@jimmypug I did look at Minga the other day and she liked some black ones, then the colour spec changed to indigo, but she did like the styles there. At first she was saying high waist but everything jeans related is going low rise it seems so I've decided to ignore that part of the brief for now.

There is an Australian brand, Peachay, which is fantastic for exactly this shape. They are pricey but amazing quality. https://www.peachay.com/collections/jeans

Wow! What a great idea!

Rela rela jeans on tiktok. I'm identical shape

Bitzee · 21/08/2025 13:31

Try Abercrombie- they do curve sizes (for bigger hips/bum) even in the small waist sizes and long and extra long lengths. 25% off jeans atm too.

Silverbirchleaf · 21/08/2025 13:37

I was going to suggest high waisted jeans as well. Next and marketeers do a full range if waist options. Also do ‘tall’’ online.

isthismylifenow · 21/08/2025 13:59

I think the Levi Curve range might be a good option to try.

I think the Levi Curve range might be a good option to try.

I just looked on the website and the baggy ones only do a leg to 32 inch.
Same with the Rela Jeans, no tall length options.

Already looked at the Next Tall range and nothing she likes on there in the right shape/size.

I think Minga, UO and a pair from Weekenders are in the mix. Am finding it hard to not try them on though as I've been bitten buying online so often trying to find a pair! Am I right in thinking Minga only has a shopfront in Australia? They also don't specify length but the photos show the length bunched on the ground, so am hopeful 34 is the length for the "look"...Risky though!

Please update when you find the right pair OP!
