In search of a regular perfume around £50 or under.i normally wear CK as I like a fresh citrus smell but it just doesn't last. In the past I always bought Dior or Chanel but I just can't afford it anymore. I like my man to wear Eau Sauvage and that's too expensive to treat him to these days. Any suggestions gratefully received!

Ô de Lancôme
Clinique Happy
Elizabeth Arden White Tea or Green Tea

Britpopbaby · 15/07/2025 08:13

I got a small bottle of Clinique Happy in TK Maxx for under £15 so worth looking at their perfume section.

How do you feel about dupes of big name perfumes from the high street? If you are OK with them, then maybe have a look into dupes that are available at M&S etc.

msmillicentcat · 15/07/2025 08:15

I would go for Zara perfumes - there are a lot to choose from and usually around the £30-35 mark for a big bottle. I don’t tend to wear citrusy ones so can’t recommend a particular one but worth checking out.

I’ve bought a few dupes and wear them for work / everyday wear and use my proper ones to events etc

I use coco mademoiselle and have people ask why I wear such an expensive perfume to work. It’s the dupe I have on

not got it on me right now but will find out the brand and let you know. dont know if they will have a dupe for what you like but can only try it. It was £16 for 50ml and I got it in a local pharmacy

D&G light blue is a good option. Also Molinard is an affordable French perfume house and they have some lovely options. You can get some on sale from the discounters. Gingembre (ginger), Osmanthus, Figue, Thé Basilic are all good options

Thanks everyone. I have tried a few dupes but no success yet. Will have a look at the suggestions.

I bought O de Lancome recently and it is beautiful, a CKone fan would like it, but it doesn't last very long.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 15/07/2025 09:50

Inis is very fresh.

D &G Light Blue INTENSE ( normal one doesn't last)

EvelynBeatrice · 15/07/2025 09:51

Fragonard or Monotheme sold at M&S are proper perfume makers and within your budget. I also rate Roger & Gallet which is a French parfumerie range often sold in UK chemist shops sometimes also Marks. They have many fresh fragrances - often orange but some lemon I think.

ForHeartyPoet · 15/07/2025 09:53

I like Zara and M&S for perfumes - they are mostly dupes for expensive ones. The Zara ones tend to last longer on the skin and they have more choice.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 15/07/2025 09:55

Apparently Zara Apple is a dupe of Chanel Chance of you like that. I haven't tried it myself but it's on my list of things to try after researching dupes.

EvelynBeatrice · 15/07/2025 09:55

Whether dupes or cheaper fragrances ‘work’ on you depends a lot on your skin chemistry. They all smell the same on me and go very sweet - especially Zara. I actually rate Next perfumes as the best of the department store bunch.

I used to wear that all the time..might give it another try. There's 3 different ones now I think?
