I’m not sure about Harrods now. I was excited by the teaser but I think those are the best of the bunch! I got the JL one last year (after much deliberation!) so I’m looking forward to seeing what’s in that one. I was v tempted by Space NK and Rituals last year as well.

Agree. After being excited by the teaser I'm disappointed in all the mini sizes.

I bought Rituals last year as I do like their products especially soaps and shower gels. As a word of caution though I did get a bit bored of it which is a downside of a single brand AC. For that reason this year I'm just looking at multi brands.

I picked up a Penhaligon’s calendar at an outlet store over the weekend, so totally don’t need Harrods fragrance, but I have fomo so might need to order one anyway 😆

I’ve had a Harrods beauty calendar for the past 3 years and it’s been excellent, but I agree that this year is disappointing. It’s mostly stuff I’ve had before. I prefer Liberty this year. Glad as it makes decision making a bit easier!

To be fair though, I think that Harrods have reduced sizes in order to keep the price the same, whereas Liberty appear to have hiked theirs.

I agree last years Harrods Beauty was fab but not so much this year . But I am glad in a way as I am trying to be strict with myself in only one beauty advent and I am keen to see what everyone else releases.
I do think the Fragrance advent is amazing though when you think each door is only £17.91 and all those full size perfumes I am hoping to restrict myself to only 4-6 perfumes and sell the rest but I will see how that pans out. I think I kept 7 last year
I will probably buy Harvey Nicks as well and try and make a 12 day advent of my favourites from between the two

@MidnightMeltdown It does make Liberty seem a lot better although I'm unlikely to buy that either.

I would have preferred a price hike and more full sizes but I get not everyone would so maybe £250 is a price point that works best for them across all markets.

@Puravida23 I could see me ending up with just fragrance this year. I think I've finally got a bit more discerning with beauty products (not a bad thing!). Still hoping that SpaceNK is worth it.

Possibly, but for the sake of £25 most people would prefer fulll size products. I think I’ll keep it ordered (for now) but I think Liberty is better this year. F&M -I had last year and enjoyed the Cult 51 products. They appeal again but I’m not so in to AA, the bath salts (again) and the make up bag (again!). So I think I’ll be able to resist that one. Selfridges is usually good contents but very boring box and that always puts me off! There’s still so many to release.

@OvaHere I could see me doing the same . I have quite a bit of skincare and makeup and have tried most brands so I don’t have the same need as previous years . I have also got into perfume more this year so keen to explore that more
But you can quote me on this in October when I end up sat on a mountain of beauty advents again!

Harrods fragrance ordered!

I'll be ordering Liberty once my BD credit is topped up this week.

I'm up for another fragrance one so hoping HN is good this year. And then, I'll have to be blown away by SpaceNk, CultBeauty or maybe John Lewis but as it stands I'm not too bothered about another beauty one.

@AddictedtobeautyI suppose it could be the case that the brands are being less generous with the products they are willing to give out. It must affect their sales when people (i.e. me) stock up with mountains of beauty calendar products.

I think F&M is a decent offering if you’ve not had it before, but for me it’s far too samey. I don’t want one mini candle, let alone two. To add insult to injury, I think that they’re the same two candles as last year! The perfume, pillow spray, nail polish, AA products and bum bum cream also look like repeats from previous years.

I prefer Liberty as it’s candle-free and has mostly products that I haven’t tried. Want to see Space NK though!

I've taken a minute to study the Harrods Beauty AC and it's maybe a bit better than my initial reaction would suggest. A couple of the items are seriously pricey stuff- one is approx £600 for a full size.

Based on the things I would use/want to try the value is probably there but I'm not enticed enough at this stage without waiting for other reveals.

@OvaHere ooh, I've gone back to have another look and I'm intrigued as to which of the products is worth nearly six hundred quid.

Thanks for heads up @Willow742. I had a look on the App - calendars are great value and, despite intentions not to buy, I nearly succumbed to the fragrance one out of FOMO. Most of the scents are a bit too heavy for me though- designed to appeal to their traditional ME customer base I expect.

Ahh. I missed that @OvaHere It's a 15ml in the calendar and the 50ml that's £678, but it's still a pricey tub of cream to be included in an advent and nice to try!

Pre order link for the fragrance calendar has gone in the last hour. I'm assuming they've saved some for tomorrow...🤔

I just noticed that the fragrance calendar is now sold out for pre order. I would imagine some would maybe be available for the official release day tomorrow

Or maybe they haven't saved any for tomorrow. Just says coming soon in to store.

That’s going to be really disappointing for people who were expecting to order it at 11 tomorrow.

Agree. Unless it's scarcity marketing tactics and it will come back again.
