Denim shorts help!!!!

I need a pair for my hols
ive tried on about 30 pairs which were all hideous (Zara, RI, M&S, H&M)

finally found these two and like them both so need some help choosing please
i could keep both but just not sure I’ll get the wear out of them

Don’t you think they look backwards? Like the bum is on the front?

These are a weird length. They remind me of peddle pushers 😂

I quite like the pocket detail. Gives them something a bit extra. To my eye, the second pair are boring and look like every other pair of shorts.

They're both baggy in the crotch which suggests you either need a smaller size or a smaller rise.

If those are high rise try some mid rise.

I also prefer the colour/wash of the first pair

Ahh yes! I loved pedal pushers as a teenager! Now I wear short shorts which feels like aging in reverse 😆

Next do nice ones. Stretchy and comfy

Neither great and both dated IMO. Would prefer maybe more of a paper bag type shape personally but don’t actually wear denim shorts at all.
