Nice T-shirts

Ive always just bought T-shirts from Primark, but find they lose their shape (the body part goes baggy and they sort of end up hanging) but I’ve never thought much of it.
Recently a family member got me a T-shirt on holiday from a named store (a water sports brand I hadn’t heard of) and the difference in it to my normal t-shirts has made me realise that I want to replace my Primark ones with better ones. Unfortunately I don’t have a limitless budget so still need them to be good value - though I know I’ll need to pay more than Primark prices.

Suggestions for nice T-shirts that are good quality, don’t lose their shape and aren’t too thick or thin? I dislike Next clothes as I don’t like the way they wash.

I get all my teashirts from Cotton Traders. They are good quality, good material, lots of colours and good prices. A teashirt is a teashirt and these don't lose their shape.

Uniqlo are excellent and I also like H&M

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 29/05/2025 10:40

I know you said not Next, but MN put me onto these t shirts from Next several summers ago. They are not bank breaking, but they wash and wear really well.

Rapanui.

thedevilinablackdress · 29/05/2025 11:40

I second Rapanui

Comefromaway · 29/05/2025 11:52

Tu at Sainsbury's are surprisingly good buty I also highly reccomend Uniqlo. Cos too.

JustGoClickLikeALightSwitch · 29/05/2025 11:56

Another one for Rapanui. And their customer service is excellent.

Loiste · 29/05/2025 13:08

Rapanui here too

I’ve got several of these tshirts. They are really good quality OP and wash really well. Their lovely cotton is quite heavy so they keep their shape very well too.

FrostyMorn · 29/05/2025 13:22

I found Rapanui t-shirts to be thinner than expected and they shrunk (upwards) in the wash, even at 30 degrees. Really disappointing!

DecoratingDiva · 29/05/2025 13:37

Lucy & Yak - several different styles, wash well, nice quality

vickylou78 · 29/05/2025 13:41

I've recently got some Amazon basics t-shirts and they are really good.

CannotWaitForSummervibes · 29/05/2025 13:49

Try Vinted for good quality brands. Saves a lot of money

Robinredbeast · 29/05/2025 13:49

Another vote for Uniqlo, or Cos (I order via H&M, free delivery if you’re a member)

GCAcademic · 29/05/2025 13:50

Another vote for Rapanui. Also John Lewis organic cotton. They have short and long sleeved ones.

GCAcademic · 29/05/2025 13:51

Weird. It looks like MN automatically links to JL now when you post the words.

Haribosweets · 29/05/2025 13:54

I buy my branded t.shirts from vinted. I know 2nd hand but I check quality on photos and tend to go for super dry which are great quality but for about £5 on vinted

Gundogday · 29/05/2025 13:59

Another left field brand is Bon Marche. Have some awful stuff in, but surprisingly good for basics.

I also second Sainsbury Tu and Next.

Fupoffyagrasshole · 29/05/2025 14:07

uniqlo

123ccc · 29/05/2025 14:10

Another vote for next here. They do them in different necklines, every colour and sleeve type. I must have had mine a couple of years and they are still going strong!

babybelsandbarbells · 29/05/2025 14:31

Definitely Uniqlo! Good prices and good quality

PivotalTonight · 29/05/2025 14:35

A small independent brand.

These are glorious, organic cotton and reduced.

I found the same, found them a bit disappointing.

A bit pricey but I like Vegan outfitters. I have a few I like from Next too, I try and go for cotton and/or heavy weight cotton.

I have lots from Jigsaw (previous years) and they're really good - here https://www.jigsaw-online.com/products/supima-cotton-scoop-neck-tee-white?variant=44602243645606&currency=GBP&gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21649813420&gbraid=0AAAAAD4Q9mQGYtwJurHkbSkLyNZBJzbe2&gclid=CjwKCAjwi-DBBhA5EiwAXOHsGRNzm9uVu6vfbsYS4cM8s2Rr_k2mk1YJoB-QjQ-8gSFcs3ap812t2RoC7d8QAvD_BwE [ but will be trying uniqlo this year - I actually like the mini t shirt which is fitted, but not as cropped as it appears)
