Another bloody wedding guest one

Off to a wedding in August. I’ve got a black cotton dress with off white embroidery all over it. I really don’t care about it being black, so please don’t comment if all you want to say is that I shouldn’t wear black. It’s perfectly summery feeling and stylish dd has approved it.

SO -

can I wear black shoes or should I try to find a new pair. I can only do a low block heel.

Red feels too flamenco dancer. White? Blush pink? Bright green? Need to be really comfortable and pretty cheap, as I doubt I’ll wear them much beyond the day.

Bag? To match the shoes or not?

Can I get away with nothing on my head?

I vote a wedge with black straps , then could go for a bag to match , straw like to match wedge heel iykwim

I gave my straw wedge things to the charity shop because I kept falling over in the fuckers.

I do quite fancy a straw bag though, potentially, especially if it has black on it too.

Update - the Clarks sandals arrived and I think they will be fine. I’ve ordered a Vivienne Westwood bag from Vinted.
