Bum covering swimsuit

Where are they all?
Every single cozzie I’ve tried this year is cut so high on the leg - cutting across my bum cheeks on the diagonal, leaving half my backside on display and no one by the pool needs to see my HRT patch and beyond. I don’t want it all hanging out.
Can anyone recommend any one piece costumes or bikini bottoms that will contain my bottom please? I’m short, size 10, pear shape, with a relatively small waist and I carry my weight on my hips - hence the question.
Thank you!

Try a swim skirt or swim shorts.

If you're looking for functional rather than Instagram pose worthy, have a look at legsuits. That's what I've used for years mainly because they cover the top of my flabby thighs! (Not sure even one of said thighs would be a size 10 here 😂)

Coffeeishot · 18/05/2025 10:03

Have you tried a tankini the shorts cover your bum fully, try sports shops rather than fashion swimsuits.

nonamehere · 18/05/2025 10:08

Lands End tugless are good, and, as the name suggests, don't ride up.

ecuse · 18/05/2025 10:09

Haven't tried them myself so can't vouch for them but Lands End do "tugless" swimsuits which are supposed to be guaranteed not to wedgie themselves...from which I infer they cover your bum!

NewUserIDRequired · 18/05/2025 10:20

Actually just been mooching round Lands End website and looks like the swimsuits are more around £60 now. Maybe worth another look...🤔

I rate Decathlon for swimsuits. Good prices and as they are more sports focused, more modest.

I wear board shorts over a normal swimming costume, works well for me and saves any worries about hair removal too.

JustPaintedMyRoomGreen · 18/05/2025 13:59

Do not, under any circumstances but from an online company called Meet.Curve, I thought their costumes were exactly what I was searching for. Unfortunately what purports to be a UK company has an incredibly dodgy returns policy (see trustpilot) I am going through my banks procedure at the moment to get a refund.

On a positive note, after an extensive swimsuit search for a costumes that cut a lower leg, the best I found were Asda, Bonmarche (which surprised me), and Next. Tesco do a good swimskirt which could potentially go over any costume, but their costumes were all too high cut for my preference.

Boyleg swimming costumes from Sports Direct have been my go to costume for years now. They wash well and are a reasonable price

I am long in the body and Lands End do long body swimsuits. Perfect for me. I recommend.

Speedo do a couple of styles with a practical cut on the bum but a more flattering top than the usual swim fast squash your chest flat style. I found mine by googling.

Saltysea2001 · 18/05/2025 14:52

There’s a market here. Exactly what I’m looking for - I don’t want ruching or bows, I just want more of a 50s shape. I found this picture of an M&S swimsuit from years ago - I don’t want the crisscross at the front, but this is the swimsuit I’m looking for:

In the past, I’ve bought high waste bikini bottoms and a simple bikini top

Speedo do one which is very good for swimming in and built in shorts. https://www.speedo.com/women-s-endurance-legsuit-navy/16549276.html

PhilosophicalCheeseSandwich · 18/05/2025 14:58

Sainsbury's Tu usually has a few low-leg swimsuits.

minipie · 18/05/2025 15:00

I’ve got a couple of John Lewis own brand bikinis where the bum actually covers my (ample) bum so try there? Not boyleg, that doesn’t suit me but just a reasonably generous triangle.

Bonbon21 · 18/05/2025 15:08

Halocline do low leg swimsuits as well as tankini with swim shorts.
Have used them for years.
Excellent company, excellent products.

Edited

I tried that one on but had to return it as I am not a contortionist.

I have resorted to a Speedo rash vest and swim shorts. Not the most exciting of outfits but I am an odd shape - like many of the others appear to be in the pool with costumes trying and failing to contain busts or rear ends.

wotsitallfor · 18/05/2025 15:19

I find Cupshe have great options with large bottoms

Gettingbysomehow · 18/05/2025 15:20

I wear swim shorts nobody wants to see my old legs.

Woodywoodpecker321 · 18/05/2025 15:27

Try Bravissimo. I've just bought from there and it covers
