How long does your tights last? Snag says off their brand is 2-5 wears?

I've just seen an advertisement from snag saying other tights are 2-5 wears (not theirs... Or course hmm)
Surely not?
How long does yours last!?
I've had the same load for over a year now. Can't imagine throwing away after 2 wears!! Be spending £40 a month on tights!

Oh no did I miss the great tight ban of 2024?!
Was there a protest where we all got told to bin them with our skinnies?

No I promise not - if anything their adverts regularly put me off buying from them. I was just shocked when they said 2-5 wears on (I think it was) their Facebook spam (could have been read elsewhere)

Opaque tights, I’ve had John Lewis and M&S Autograph ones last for years. My Snag was nes got holes really quickly - I thought they were overpriced for very mediocre tights.

Don't wear tights but I do wear Snag shorts occasionally if wearing a dress is the mood (not often, tbf) and they last about 10 wears before I chuck them. I am chubby of thigh though.

I don't get all the Snag love. I've got M&S tights which are over ten years old. I wore a pair of Wolfords acquired in a sale from 6th Form until I was in my 30s.
Anyone tried Better Tights?

I had really lovely M&S tights of the past but I don't think the quality is the same anymore.

I thought people were boycotting Snag? Has that stopped?

I've had some Snag tights for 2 years still like new..a new pair of theirs ran first wear last week. Supermarket or other brand cheaps even if they fit I'm often lucky to get 2 wears out of them. I think I've learned it's worth paying the price for higher quality. I like colours so snag works for me!

Yes I saw that advert and it seemed ridiculous to me. I have had tights for years. Tights that are older than my children. Tights that have moved house with me. But then I haven’t worn sheer tights for 25 years. And I guess that’s what they were referring to.

What else should I wear in my legs to keep them warm under a dress in winter and/or colder weather?

I didn’t know that tights expired in 2024!
