Currently on holiday. And I'm thrown by the fact that majority of women have their swimsuits wedged between there bum cheeks. So I've known my DD do it on hols but shes 18 so it feels a bit differeny. But it just feels a bit meh here ..... we are not in a resort, hotel is very small (no music round the pool etc), in the mountains. Is this a new thing I should embrace tomorrow?

I’ve noticed this. There was lady in the pool changing room the other day and assumed she was in her undies, then she headed to the pool and got in. She did look great to be fair! I’d look like an overripe peach clutching dental floss.

I quite like the look 😂 especially on holiday but I also tend to wear more at gym too now.

The style is between thong and bikini. Quite narrow. So it does ride up

That's what I don't get. I feel a bitch saying it but it just doesn't look good. Lots of cellulite and hrt patches on show. And before I get slated I have both - cupious amounts of the cellulite. So I just can't imagine it. Plus it looks uncomfortable.

They're not normal bikini bottoms. They are bikini bottoms with a very skimpy cut designed to show a lot of butt cheek.

I just saw that at the local swimming pool, not on a lovely 18 year old either. It looked extraordinary like a sort of thong. Almost all the swimming costumes in the shops are high rise and that will happen with them too. As far as I can see the only way round it is to buy colour co-ordinated knickers to go underneath.

You can have mine. Being leered at by men all my life is awful and is the primary reason that I didn't swim for decades and only resumed when I discovered rash tops.

And meanwhile men wear their modest swimming shorts.

😂😂 I was saying this when I was on holiday last week. Loads of ladies (18+ hotel) walking around with their bikini bottoms up their bums, it really didn't look comfortable. There were more bums cheeks on show then boobs.

Decent men wear rash tops as well. I don't want to see men's nipples.

For me it depends on the occasion.
If I’m on a family holiday, in the pool with kids, playing on the beach etc? Absolutely not. I want all my bits and pieces safe and secure 😂 I like a high-waisted, boy-shorts style for those occasions.

But when me and DH spent a long weekend in the balaerics, no kids and in an adults only resort, I wore a teeny weeny bikini that was a very small step away from being a g-string. But that break was spent doing nothing more than laying on a sunbed, with my wine glass being continuous filled 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 same as everybody else in the resort. I’ll also happily go topless on a beach in Europe same as the locals if my DCs aren’t with me.

I've seen this on holiday alright and they look very uncomfortable. We were at a water park and lots of the teens and 20 somethings had them, so you had an arse in your face as you were queueing up the steps. Plus I can't imagine it would be nice sliding down on them.

Didn't it originate in Brazil so they could show off their butt implants?
