Lip fillers- are the agony?

I might be having some. I'm in my early 60s and my lips are not much more now than a thin line. Very ageing and lipstick stays on for 2 minutes.

I don't want 'overdone' obviously and would go to my dentist who's trained and experienced in fillers. I've already had a touch of filler on my chin (side of mouth).

I've quite a high pain threshold but have heard lips are very painful.

Anyone?

Did You get it done OP? I love mine.

Yes very painful and the feeling of the needle going in and out is awful too, but it’s over quickly enough x

If nobody notices, what's the point?. Ive had thin lips on one side, top right, to the extent that aren't really there. It's never occurred to me to have work done. They're part of me and as such I'll keep them.

Well, good for you! Good thing we're all different.

Did you have them done OP? I am very tempted to have a small amount of filler in my lips as they are less plump and I see more and more of my teeth/gum showing when I smile. Were you pleased with the results?

Charming. why come to a zombie thread to say that? Not even clear 'whose' you mean.

Hope you got them done OP, and happy with the results if yes.

I love mine, only get them done every 12-18 months so only subtle and nothing drastic, but it makes me feel good about myself when my top lip is not disappearing when I smile :)

No, not yet but I did have some very light fillers nose-to-mouth that I'm happy with but she tends to under-fill rather than over so I may need a top up.

I found it's better to go less/slower in terms of volume (I only had lip filler) and build up to a desired look over a course of 12-18 months, than go a full 1ml straight away.

And to answer your orginal question - I didn't find getting mine that painful, it's over quite quickly and numbing cream helps 💕

Not agony at all. Had my first one done today. I'm 51 with thin lips. You feel the sharp tinges but they are very bearable.

Sorry, I prob meant some that looked overdone. Not quite skilful with posting here yet. I have had minevdone today and I prefer my "before" state, but my lips are thinning. Also the new lios look strange from the light numbing cream. The procedure did not hurt - yes, I could feel the sharp tinges but it was okay, really, they were bearable.
