Tops with built-in bra

Last year, I discovered the tops that Uniqlo do with built-in bras and I find them so comfortable that I’ve practically been living in them ever since. This is the range: https://www.uniqlo.com/uk/en/women/tops/bra-tops

I want to add some more to my wardrobe for this year, but I don’t particularly like what Uniqlo have in - I don’t usually wear cropped tops and the rest aren’t really doing it for me! Does anybody know anywhere else that does anything similar? I’ve tried Googling, but everything that comes up is underwear!

I’d particularly like to find a black boat neck tank top to go with a lovely pair of trousers I just bought Smile

Totally agree!! I also love these and wish they weren't nearly all cropped. Haven’t seen anything similar but following with interest.

how about this? I have some of their clothes, not bad at all. Didn't find the bra tops massively supportive, but I feel the same about uniqlo. So if they work for you, this brand might as well. https://oglmove.com/products/boatneck-new-airy-brami-tank

I need something like this. I bought a few pinafores last year, and they pull my tee-shirt and blouses about, so I think I need afitted thing like a bra top. Following for tips!

Asos

Ridingthegravytrain · 18/03/2025 06:53

Marks and Spencer do some ribbed vests that are comfy with built in support. I sleep in them. Come in a pack of 2

Tereseta · 18/03/2025 06:55

Primark have dresses and tops with built in bra in their new range
I have m&s vests with shelf bra which are great under jumpsuits etc

Goatblu · 18/03/2025 10:57

I bought some of the m & s ones linked above at the weekend. I wanted some that weren't cropped. They're nice but the pads/covers are removable which I find really annoying when washing them. I think I'll keep them but sew the removable bits inside the bra bit.

How is the sizing on Uniqlo stuff I have never used it before but this is the exact type of thing I am looking for!

Manchesterbythesea · 18/03/2025 12:02

Zara do a nice vest with a built in bra. Maybe you could style it then with shirts/cardigans etc

Happyears · 18/03/2025 12:06

Bravissimo used to do a brilliant range and still have a few.

mswales · 18/03/2025 13:21

Best clothing brand in the world, Manners London, the fabric they use means you can go braless no matter what your size. I've seen videos of women with GG cup size crying with joy as they've never been able to go without a bra and they look and feel so amazing in this clothing!

I’m a UK size 12 and have generally found that Uniqlo size M fits perfectly. Except for one top, which was way too tight - the weird sizing on this one had been flagged in a few of the reviews, though, serves me right for not believing them!

Ah, thanks, I’ll steer clear then. I hate having to reposition those things after washing clothes. Although it’s better than going out with a weird lumpy front if you forget to reposition them!

I'd love some of these type of tops but I'm a 32F - and need some lift. Would these be suitable do you think?

BellesAndGraces · 18/03/2025 21:23

I was also going to suggest Manners London but see that someone beat me to it. Pretty sure they have boatneck tops amd
dresses.

Yogachick · 18/03/2025 21:28

Don’t Manners just work by squidging everything into submission? I hate to feel so compressed & would love to find a built in option that doesn’t do that

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 19/03/2025 09:39

I wear the Uniqlo bra tops a lot and I only really like the regular length, low neckline, ribbed cotton ones which they don't have at the moment. However the thing with Uniqlo is that everything comes around again if it was ever popular, so I'm just waiting for the ones that I like to be available again. I have enough to be going on with, but I have lost a bit of weight so will be going down a size when I can get them again.

I have shoulder issues so put mine on like a swimsuit (legs through the neck and pull up) so even if I liked the higher neck style I would struggle to put one on over my head.

DecafDodger · 19/03/2025 13:12

another option, many sports brands have shelf bra tops.

I find all their stuff so comfy and lovely to wear

@mswales thats great to hear and gives me hope! Thankyou x

I suspect not - I feel as though I’ve struck lucky and just happen to have the right size boobs to fit the tops! But I could be wrong - if you’re anywhere near a Uniqlo, I recommend going and trying some on.

marmaladeandpeanutbutter · 19/03/2025 21:34

Bravissimo do them.
