I eat healthy-ish, drink lots of water, wash my face with Cerave salicilic acid/niacinamide cleanser and use Korean COSRX snail mucin power essence as a moisturiser. That's it, can't be arsed. Don't wear any makeup, also for 'can't be arsed' reasons.
My skin is ok, nice enough. Not gorgeously amazing, but it's never been. I used to have a multi-step scincare routine, lotions, serums and potions, organic scincare with the 'right' active ingredients, researched it, bought the 'good' stuff, no SLS, parabens, alcohol, unperfumed etc, yadda yadda. The only difference I saw was negligible.
So I'm happy with my routine. Skin looks good enough, an occasional zit on my chin, but otherwise fine, no wrinkles.
The best skin I've ever saw in reality is my dad's. Smokes like a chimney, drinks like a fish, eats whatever, doesn't use anything for his face other than soap. And then there's my mother, all the lotions and shit, botox, facials, tretinoin, younger than my dad and looks worse. So I'm not sure about all that scincare thing, I think you either have good skin or you don't.
There are plenty of celebs with tons of money who look great in carefully lit, edited shoots, but in candid pics up close, under all that makeup, you can see their skin is uneven, cratered, doesn't look all that great at all. And I'm sure they use the greatest scincare/procedures money can buy.
