I haven't but wool& do a 100 day challenge and reward you if you do it!

sciaticafanatica · 01/03/2025 15:41

I only wear dresses

Frieda12 · 01/03/2025 15:42

Yes I have! It certainly made me look at my existing clothes with a fresh eye to see how I could style them with the dress.

Ankhmo · 01/03/2025 15:57

Sounds minging, I personally wash my clothes after 20 days... 🤪

JoyousEagle · 01/03/2025 15:57

I don't know if this is a really thick question, but when you say "wear a dress for 30 days" do you mean 30 days of wearing only dresses? Or 30 days of wearing the same dress?

Britpopbaby · 01/03/2025 16:02

@JoyousEagle I imagine it’s 30 days wearing a variety of dresses.

That's not a challenge.

Frieda12 · 01/03/2025 18:45

It’s wearing the same dress. The Wool And dresses are merino so you wash it and it’s dry by the next morning

You don't have to wash a merino dress after every wear.

chutneypig · 01/03/2025 19:02

I did the wool& 30 day challenge last year. I travel a lot for work and it really simplified packing plus made me try some new combinations. I might well do it again this year. The merino part is crucial though, I wouldn't have attempted it with other dresses. They do last between washes and dry quickly, plus are very comfortable.

henlake7 · 01/03/2025 20:01

Why would you want to wear the same dress for 30 days, sounds really boring.

I wouldn't mind wearing dresses for 30 days if I got to pick different ones though (I probably wear one 75% of the time anyways).

RandomMess · 01/03/2025 20:02

I can't imagine finding a merino dress that would suit me, far too revealing of my tummy.

AyeBeeSea · 01/03/2025 20:04

You don't have to wash a merino dress after every wear.

That depends on what you do surely. I work with four year olds. I practically have to burn my clothes at the front door never mind wash them.

Ankhmo · 01/03/2025 20:16

No way I'd wear the same thing everyday, washing it over night etc.

Nope. I'd feel scuzzy as fuck

(That's not to say I only wear things once, I don't, I wear things a couple times and they live on the not dirty, not clean chair)

OohKittens · 01/03/2025 20:25

Can anyone link to one of these dresses?

Glorybox2025 · 01/03/2025 20:26

What's the point of this then? Wearing the same dress daily for 30 days? Why?

scrivette · 01/03/2025 20:35

I read about this a couple of years ago.

I think you find different ways of wearing/styling the dress so it doesn't look like you are wearing the same outfit day in and day out. E.g a shirt over one day, cardigan another, as a dress, then with a blazer etc.

Why would you feel scuzzy if you were washing it? Surely that's no more scuzzy than wearing different clean clothes everyday? If it's clean, it's clean.

blindknot · 01/03/2025 20:47

Presumably you keep the dress clean, it's a staple item in a neutral colour and it helps you learn how to accessorise. Thus you stop buying crap you don't need.

It's a great idea and a worthwhile experiment.

As other posters have mentioned, Wool& do a 100 day dress challenge and if you send photos, you get £100 off your next purchase with them. This is a ‘one off’ offer but you can do annual 30 day challenges to get £30. I’ve done the 100 day and two 30 day challenges and loved it - would definitely recommend. No-one noticed I wore the same dress as you can can mix and match tops etc so sometimes I’d wear a skirt or trousers over so the dress was more like a t shirt and other times I would wear a jumper over so it looked like a skirt!

This is the dress I used for my 100 day challenge

Betsylee · 01/03/2025 22:19

I wouldn't fancy wearing the same dress every day, would get sick of the sight of it! I could wear a different dress every day for thirty days, although I would have to repeat some days as don't think I have that many dresses although maybe I have! I did read an article about a woman who did this but couldn't see the point tbh! Why would you do this, I'm sure my family and friends would notice I was wearing the same dress.

RuthW · 01/03/2025 22:44

I've haven't worn trousers for over 50 years.

I only wear dresses now and have done for about 5 years.

RuthW · 01/03/2025 22:45

Wrong end of stick. I wouldn't wear the same one for 30 days.
