They have some really nice well designed well priced stuff in at the moment. Like whistles in its hey day. Must have a new designer. Well worth a look!

I also have that suede jacket bookmarked - it looks lovely!

Chrysanthemum5 · 27/02/2025 19:07

That suede jacket looks gorgeous but out of my price range I'm afraid

LBB2020 · 27/02/2025 19:28

I really like mint velvet at the moment but I think it’s really expensive! I did get a few lovely things in the Jan sale but they were still in my opinion on the pricey side

MissyGirlie · 27/02/2025 19:30

Yeah, but be prepared for their trousers to come up short.

RockStarMartini · 27/02/2025 19:42

Theyve got so expensive lately though, I used to buy bits in the sale but even that is out of budget now.

CharlotteCChapel · 27/02/2025 20:32

Their dresses seem a bargain against the separates

PenneyFouryourthoughts · 27/02/2025 20:34

I'm too chunky for Mint Velvet but I like the jacket too.

purpledagger · 27/02/2025 20:36

i've bought quite a few of their t shirts recently.

i have the bow t-shirt and ordered the vest top yesterday.

I like their recent designs but not many things suit me being short. It’s blessing for my purse lol

Delphigirl · 28/02/2025 00:26

Everything is getting so much more expensive, I think these are not bad for the quality.

Im a big fan of Mint Velvet. I usually get a few things in the sale though as it can be a bit pricey.

hurlyburlywhirly · 28/02/2025 21:35

I like mint velvet but also think they do overdo some things with frills and detail that isn't needed.

They also need to up the quality of the knitwear as I'm not paying £109 for anything pure acrylic.

flowerrrrpoweerr · 01/03/2025 02:51

@Delphigirl so are you paid by Mint Velvet?

I'm always surprised they are still going to be honest. Nothing that you can't buy cheaper for the same quality elsewhere.

Where do you find similar designs of the same quality but cheaper?

I like MV and always find the cut of clothes superior to other brands (perhaps just good for my body shape), my most frequently worn things tend to be from there and they last really well. Price means i'm restricted to sale pieces though

Weepixie · 01/03/2025 05:57

I’ve worn Mint Velvet for a very long time but have recently wondered what’s going on with it and I’ve no plans to buy anything soon.

Middlechild3 · 01/03/2025 06:49

They needed to change, the offerings have been the same for years, lop sided hems, greige satin etc.

Chrysanthemum5 · 01/03/2025 07:20

If @Delphigirl is being paid by MV she's done a good job as I keep going back to that suede jacket and thinking about how lovely it is 😂

Delphigirl · 01/03/2025 09:04

Ha ha no not paid by MV. I just have always thought it was a bit per Una but my eye was caught by a really nice cream cashmere and wool short sleeved sweater - very good weight, quality, price, perfect for work - which I bought and then I looked at the rest of the range and thought hang on there are some nice things here.

I’ve always really liked Mint Velvet, but lots of their stuff does end up in the sales and it’s always just a tiny bit too expensive.

The suede jackets are out of stock online. I really want the olive one.

The spring knitwear is beautiful. Pretty colours & great shapes. Melissa Murrell is showing several this week. Luckily they're mostly puffed accentuated shoulders which are not right for my rather broad ones, or wool which itches me. Or I would be sorely tempted.

Delphigirl · 01/03/2025 09:22

I’m def going to have a good poke around when I have a minute.
