Scrumptious Perfume Required

Hi

I have several formals coming up and Im in a perfume rut and I thought the lovely all knowing ladies on these threads could help.

Im quite eclectic in taste; I either like a fragrance or don’t.

Previous enjoyable (mostly) scents have included:-

Christian Dior Hypnotic Poison (loved this one)
Chanel No 5 (no longer fussed about)
Chanel Allure (so so)
Liz Earle No 100 & No 15 (not formal enough)
Tom Ford Orchid
Burberry My Burberry Black (like this one)
Ralph Lauren Ralph Lauren (like this one)
Victoria Beckham Portofino ‘97 (ok’ish)

I recently tested Tom Ford Cafe Rose, however for the first time ever I had an adverse reaction; developed a migraine and my face flushed terribly.

Id like something a little bit sultry, spicy and dare I say seductive?

What are your suggestions?

I like Le Must de Cartier - very sultry.

Frederic Malle Portrait of a Lady is my go-to. Also enjoying Maison Margiela Jazz Club - it’s a new one for me and I really like it. I didn’t rate Tom Ford’s Cafe Rose, was ok a bit meh. I do like his Velvet Orchid.

Thank you for the suggestions. I agree about Tom Ford's Cafe Rose, not his best! I've hunted high and low for a sample of his Vanilla Sex to no avail.

My favourites are Paco Rabbane Olympea and Clinique Aromatics. Both get lovely comments when I'm wearing them.

I wear Melograno and L’Iris from Farmacia Santa Maria Novella. I smell nice, but I’m skint.

I think you’d absolutely love Boudoir by Vivienne Westwood which sadly is long out of production.

However there’s a pretty good dupe which is a bit of a bargain: Eden perfume 618

It’s not quite the same but has a similar heady sexiness. Would recommend.

I'm not into perfumes but i was given Jimmy Choo I Want Choo as a gift and got lots of compliments while wearing it out.

Wasted on me as perfumes to me just are perfumey smelly things!

Penhaligon Halfeti, but test it first as it smells so different on others.
I apply about 2 hours before I go out to let it settle, always get amazing comments.

I really rate Floral Street perfumes. At the moment you can get a selection of samples of their best sellers for £20 and try a few. My personal favourite is Wild Vanilla Orchid.

I think Givenchy L'interdit Rouge is quite seductive/sexy, I would say its a night time fragrance for me. Its quite heavy on the tuberose and spice so it's not for everyone though.

I was going to say Givency L’interdit too. It just feels like a luxurious wrap of scent. I like floral street too but this is more after dark.

Another vote for L'Interdit, it's gorgeously sultry. L'Interdit Rouge is even more so, definitely an evening fragrance.

Also Mon Guerlain, which is a delicious lavender and vanilla combo.
