Older female celebrities who are growing old naturally/ not using fillers/ Botox?

Hello,

Can anyone give examples of female celebrities who are growing old naturally, ie not using Botox, fillers, and everything else?

It's for a talk I'm giving to teenage girls on body positivity!

I only have Pamela Anderson so far.

OP posts:

Pamela Anderson has had a face lift or two.

Kate Winslet and Ruth Wilson look natural.

atotalshambles · 10/02/2025 14:25

Havent all the Hollywood types had 'work ' done. I enjoy a celeb plastic surgery reel and all of them have had work. If you think that they haven't, then it has been done very well. I think the worrying trend is for younger people to have surgery to correct 'flaws' - which aren't of course. Even the amazing Taylor Swift has had lots done.

I think this thread is interesting. You know how everyone on MN swears themselves blind they can always spot someone who's had work done? I think this proves the point that their idea of 'having work done' is the over the top look. I'm sure there are a few people being listed who have had nothing (I'd guess Jamie Lee Curtis, Judi Dench, Tamsin Greig, I'd add maybe Nicola Walker?) but I suspect that most of them have just had good, subtle work and known where to draw the line. You can have Botox and still have forehead wrinkles. It's deliberate. And a good face lift will be pretty much undetectable

And where to we draw the line? Do we count Profilo, salmon sperm, microneedling, PRP facials? Because I bet 99.9% of them are having one or more of those.

Jamie Lee Curtis has had priocedures in the past!

There are very very few who haven't had anything.

Jamie Lee Curtis' advice on aging: 'Don't mess with your face'

The "Halloween" star now embraces the aging process, but said she didn't always. "Does Botox make the big wrinkle go away? Yes. But then you look like a plastic figurine.”

I think Kim Wild, on a recent chat show, looked perfectly natural and her stylish age. ( her album covers don't though).

She's had a facelift and spoke publicly about it.

Chewbecca · 10/02/2025 15:05

Pamela Anderson may have embraced not wearing much makeup but she doesn't look her natural age, her jawline and cheeks look very salon perfect.

LBFseBrom · 10/02/2025 15:08

Mariska Hargitay.
Shobna Gulati (has also gone grey and it looks good on her).

I know both of those said they wouldn't have work done and they've stuck to it. They are obviously made up for filming but so is everyone.

Jenny Agutter.
Wendy Craig.
Francesca Annis.

AlicePottery · 10/02/2025 15:14

Could you not just use 'normal' people around you as examples?

Moonshine5 · 10/02/2025 15:17

Halle berry, Salma Hayek

How is showing teenagers pictures of female celebrities that have had “good” work done to their face/bodies going to help with their confidence and body positivity?? Don’t even get me started on the judgement for women who have had “bad” work done.

If I were a teen, the take home message from that for me would be: you need more money, you need more subtle work, you mustn’t tell anyone about it, and you must still look beautiful always even when you get older but in the right way that society deems acceptable. Body positivity is still saying to girls and women that their appearance is the most important thing about them.

And besides, what is wrong with normal people and normal bodies? Celebrity culture and porn have totally fucked up young people. I would steer completely clear (I know you didn’t mention porn, I’m just saying it’s another massive contributing factor to why girls/women hate themselves and think they need work done in the first place).

Exactly. Find them better role models.

The film 'Nyad' was interesting and features both Annette Benning and Jodie Foster. They are 66 and 62 I think. The real life characters they were portraying were not botox babes so it was a true representation of older women, wrinkles and all but they scrub up well, as they say.

Great film! Agree.

Julie Walters. Beautiful through all ages - naturally

Didn’t Shobna have a nose job? Her nose in Coronation street looked a lot bigger and different shaped to what it does now!

StinkerTroll · 10/02/2025 15:42

They won't know her but Floella Benjamin looks amazing! There are some fabulous short films done by dove (the soap people) that go into the media and touching up images, they are older now but still very the message across

Thatsenoughadulting · 10/02/2025 15:45

Julia Stiles looks amazing and natural. I've watched her do interviews and her forehead etc move so she doesn't seem to have had any Botox.

Bignanna · 10/02/2025 15:48

If women past 50 have a taut jawline and smooth neck, they’ve had something done!
women battle against muscle, skin, bone and collagen loss and it’s reflected in their faces and necks. . Don’t blame them for wanting to look better, not necessarily young. A frilly, puckered jawline and a dewlap or puffer frog neck is not a good look. Whoever said ageing is graceful was having a laugh!

FKAT · 10/02/2025 16:00

Sorry I've just re-read the OP and realised this is for a talk on 'body positivity' for teenage girls.

Teenagers will not have a clue who 90% of the women mentioned in this thread are. My sons will have heard of the Friends cast and the mum from Friday Night Dinner and that's about it. And even then none of them will be in any way relatable to their experience.

I don't think "hey girls, these women who are all 40+ years older than you and haven't had plastic surgery but still look great (honestly they do, I know they look like old women but trust me)" is a relevant 'body positivity' message for this audience. It's the equivalent of telling teenagers in the 80s that Frank Sinatra is still a hep cat.

Just saw an interview with RZ and she can hardly move her face to talk properly. Not sure what she's had done but it doesn't look natural at all.

Just seen her on TV, and her cheeks are very plump, which push her eyes up, making them look like slits.

Exactly, her jawline is too smooth and her face to plump to be natural. I’m betting she’s had fat injected into her face.

Idratherbepaddleboarding · 10/02/2025 16:09

I recently watched something with Julia Styles in and it was so nice to watch an “older” woman without a lumpy face!
