Since having my little girl 9 months ago the constant hand washing and washing up has wreaked havoc on my hands!! They're so sore and chapped all the time and nothing really helps. I've tried O Keefes as so many people rave about it but it's not cutting it! The cold isn't helping atm either Confused does anyone have any suggestions for a super hardcore cream? Thank you!

Maybe look at what you are washing up in? Choose a milder washing up liquid? Because okeefes working hands works on mine when I’m on site, the driest roughest dirtiest conditions I can imagine.

Wow thank you everyone, a lot of replies to read through! As some have suggested I might try swapping out the soap itself and maybe invest in the l'occitane as this seems to be a front runner here!

I use the o'keeffes foot cream (blue tub) on my hands and it is miraculous stuff. I have a very dry patch that often splits so I lather this on it in the night and in the morning it's so much better.

Augustus Bader- it's pricey but usually on offer somewhere

I’d genuinely try save some money and try the Vaseline first 👍 I tried everything

Also suffering with very cracked and bleeding hands. Deep cracks on my thumbs too. Working hands used to work for me but not this time so I've taken to wearing non-latex, non powdered gloves all the time in the house and regularly slap on vaseline and put gloves back on..It doesn't feel overly nice, but it seems to be making a difference and I'm not leaving greasy marks everywhere from cream. Supermarket gloves ripped quickly so got some off Amazon..

ARKET hand balm. It has Shea butter as a first ingredient. It actually seems to heal hands it's amazing.

You need to swap all your hand wash to non SLS as it's very drying. It's also in every hand wash. Faith in nature brand does not contain it.

And always use rubber gloves when washing up! Never ever wash up without them on

Nursem! It's brilliant for my dry, cracked hands and you can get it on Amazon. My boss now uses it as well and she has always suffered with awful cracked skin.

Spotted the blue lid neutrogena at the chemist yesterday, reduced to £1 as short date so thought it was worth a go thanks to this thread, and oh my goodness the difference is unbelievable. So much nicer than okeefes and vaseline..Used tiny amount every half hour yesterday and then just when washing hands today. Only thing left is the deep cracks at thumb tips. Hands are incredibly soft and no stinging.
48 hours ago they were so dry they felt like sandpaper and caught on fabrics. Knuckles bleeding. I'm amazed.
Was going to splash out on the more expensive creams but think I'll stick to this one.

Neutrogena is the best

DH is a builder, he gets cement hacks - where the skin splits , and even the dermatologist he saw told him, `Neutrogena , not only to use to heal, but to continue wearing it as a barrier every day - he no longer has hacks

Cement hacks are notorious to heal and this does the job

Also once the hands are back in good condition, the Lidl L' Occitane is really good. Needs a bit of a squeeze to get out of the tube but it does the job
