Finding a new foundation

I am having to look for a new foundation. I've used Bare Mineral bare pro cashmere for years but I am finding it hard to source. Last 3 refills have been almost impossible abd last one a lot more £ than usual.

I do not like the current fashion og what I call shiny foundation. I've tried Elf liquid filter and it reminds me of my mother (a chef) glowing when working. I find this with many foundations at the moment. I guess I want a mat finish.

I want it to be cruelty-free and ideally something I can physically buy though I am not against buying online once I have found the right one.

Any suggestions? I live in the SE and have access to a fair few shops.

I love Charlotte Tilbury foundations too. Lisa Eldridge might work for you. I liked the shade range but found her foundation too matte for me. I prefer the dewy look.

Have you tried primark foundations? I'll try and find an old thread. I'll be back!

Lisa Eldridge skin tint rather than the foundation

Lily Lilo is what I use. It's online but you can buy tiny tester pots to try out.

Sorry that should say Lily Lolo - it's their mineral foundation that I buy.

I was in a situation to you with struggling to find my Bare Minerals foundation.

I went to Liberty in London and tried out a few different options in store. In the end I went with Jones Road foundation as it’s very light, but it does have a bit of a sheen to it

Charlotte Tilbury Beautiful Skin is my posh one, No7 Hydraluminous for weekends! It isn't as glowy as it sounds.

Lots of replies. I had a busy day at work

I like the idea of small trater pots from online. There is a Charlotte Tilbury counter in my local Fenwick so I may try that too.

I wont use Primark. But I appeiciate the lower cost suggestion.

@woolflower I may try that one too if you like it after same foundation.

Thank you so much.

Elf Liquid Filter isn't a foundation, it's meant to add an extra glow to foundation or can be used by itself, it's supposed to be a dupe for Charlotte Tilbury flawless finish I believe. I haven't used either, like you I like a matte finish because my skin is oily 😭

The only foundation I've ever truly loved is Estée Lauder double wear, I am continuously searching for something just as good but not as expensive but haven't found it yet.
