Thought I'd start a follow on thread as I'm not about till tomorrow and I'm loving see all the LD arrivals, definitely doing some more next week.

Ooh, the Carnaby XL is nice in black. I treated myself to it in Rooibos (orange) last week (adding some socks to qualify for a free midi LD 😄) and it's been dispatched, it looks like a really handy size/shape for 'don't want to carry too much' kind of days so I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces.

@MinstrelGirl I agree. It think there was a bit of a buzz in the last week with lots of people buying large numbers of bags. The offer code was unrestricted and could be used over and over again for freebies on every order. It's interesting to see how many people are now struggling to sell those black bags, paddingtons and other unpopular dips.

Having said that I have cherry picked and bought a couple of lovely things on FB this week because at this late stage, prices are dropping and there are bargains to be had from those who bought far too many and want to recoup some of their money spent. I suspect prices will drop even further this week because there are a lot of bags being pushed out for sale now.

Meanwhile…where’s my order?😿

I'm wondering whether I should cancel my order. There seem to be plenty of bags for resale so with a bit of effort I'd probably get what I'm after. But where's the fun in that?

Actually can anyone help me out with colours?

J I w would you describe poppy, cranberry, punch and cosmic pink?

Is anything a true saturated red or cool toned pink?

Still waiting too! Caved in and did a last LD on Friday and becoming so impatient!

I think I might cancel my order as well.

The risk of getting a scarf, gloves or socks is looking too high and as @GreyBlackBay says there are plenty around for resale.

Or (whispers) I might look at another brand

😹@GreyBlackBay - I ordered last Monday - I cracked when they threw in the free Mini as well as the Midi with orders over £60.

It was silly of me, as I was ahead of the game in terms of value and bags I ‘needed’ before that. (Discounting the random Mini order I did for £10 the week before with free postage 🙈)

Oh well: It will serve me right if my order is full of things I don’t want/can’t use.

I definitely got sucked in with the ‘excitement’ of the unknown, plus the GWP with my last order.

Update:

Due to the addition of unnecessary socks, I have been able to track my order. It’s at a delivery hub but not yet reached my local centre. I am guessing it will be tomorrow now. (It will probably arrive when I am out so they won’t be able to deliver 😼)

I have a Cranberry Bantry which is a definite red, as in pillar post red, I'd say, possibly slightly darker. I love the colour, but then I like bright colours!

@Jins I am still on the fence. I'll see what people get today and keep a eye on vinted.

Just got an email with a link to their new bags and colours . Some nice ones .

Got mine today, am a bit underwhelmed at the LDs.

I ordered a canfield B in teal and got the free midi/free mini LD. The midi was a black Paddington B (i have grey already) and marine gloves. The gloves are surprisingly lovely but am disappointed with the Paddington.

I have a bit of a fantasy that next year I won’t dip, and will just buy bags I like that others sell on. I’m pretty certain my impulsivity won’t let me though, but I like the idea!

Agree. Mars red is a proper red by canvas, Cranberry is very similar, maybe a Tony bit of a pinker hue.
Dont know about Poppy but Punch is an orange-pink, def not just pink.

@MinstrelGirl I just went for a run and chuckled to myself thinking about what you posted. This Roka LD reminds me of when our son used to collect football stickers and then Pokemon cards. He would save up his pocket money for a pack of cards and be absolutely delighted with what he got when he opened the packet.
But then he felt jealousy and FOMO the moment he went into the playground and could see what his friends had got.
So he spent his entire time swapping cards and stickers and negotiating deals to better his pack. To the point where he never actually stuck the football stickers into his book. And he never actually played with the Pokemon cards. They became a tool to trade, fuelling this never ending passion for finding a better card somewhere out there like the proverbial needle in the haystack.
That's exactly what the Roka LD feels like this week! You are right - it's a dopamine mining game!
All of these bags being swapped for better bags, or being returned to Roka and not just used and enjoyed. It's grown up Pokemon FOMO.
And the clear winners are Roka, Royal Mail and Paypal 😁

I can totally relate to this never-ending, grown-up Pokémon dopamine mining. I just laid out 5 small backpacks (ignoring all the smaller cross bodies and the larger bags) trying to make a decision on what to keep and I’m still expecting two more orders as I had a major FOMO moment towards the end of last week.

And what’s worse is I think I’ve had some bags close to dream bags but kept searching for something better so did exactly as you said - swapped or sold on in search of something else.

Though for the most part it’s been fun, I am so so glad this LD is over. I only sell for LD or a couple of £s either way to balance out and it’s now just feeling stressful trying to offload them again. I don’t need this many bags 😬

I'm an optimiser, I'm always trying to find the perfect thing and find it hard to settle with something just OK. I'm also a bargain hunter so this is definitely playing to my obsessions.

So far I got 7 bags and 3 of them did fit gaps I was searching for. 2 I knew weren't me and got sold then I'm looking at the other 2 and trying to think of a use for them.

Agree. Glad it is over too. It felt a bit manic that last week and all the bags on Vinted blow my mind.

It SO is like the Pokemon card frenzy! 😂

Cancellation email sent and I've bought one of the bags I was hoping for for £8 more than LD on vinted.

Next year tell me no!
