Is there something that just lifts the appearance of your skin a little

I usually wear makeup at home and work (Trinny London or Laura Geller Baked) but recently I've been using a rose oil and I've not really felt like I wanted to apply makeup, as my skin looks pretty nice without, miraculously. A bit of eyeliner or tinted lip sometimes. And also I worry that my makeup looks a bit overdone or badly done sometimes because I throw it on and have bad eyesight! However, when I am back at work, by the end of a work day I will no doubt look pale, puffy and blotchy, not helped by currently growing out my grey hair. Although I don't much care about it, I need to look neat and professional for work and too haggard Is unhelpful. Is there something that I could just apply mid afternoon for a bit of glow and moisturisation? I guess I could use the Trinny bff primer but it doesn't do much for me. The oil doesn't look good instantly, unfortunately, but does when used daily. Would love some ideas to try.

Revolution air brushed liquid highlighter is great. For daily use I mix a little with my No7 luminating foundation but for nights out I also fab some on my cheeks. I’m 53 and DH said to me the last time I wore it ‘ You look so fresh-faces , like you’re 21 or something!’ Have to say after 28 😂years of marriage that was one I appreciated!

Do you feel it made them longer? Or just more of them?

greengreyblue · 20/01/2025 21:57

Both. I’m still on the first tube .I use it every night bar the odd time I’ve forgotten. I was sceptical but over the moon with the results. Mine had become short and fine since meno. They are now full and long and when I curl them it looks like mascara. Then when I add mascara they look great! Just received my second tube so must be less than 3 months.

I think it makes you keep lashes for longer so the growing period is extended, meanwhile new lashes grow so you have both. No side effects. I just brush it along the top of the lash line before bed.

I’ve been to Charlotte Tilbury today, for their 30 minute session. I can’t believe how many skincare products went on before the make up! I was interested in whether their foundation stick might be for me, but around 4-5 hours later, I’m not loving it. Heavier than I thought it would be. Might give erborian a shot.

Actually, it’s not that heavy, it’s just that products clag up round my oily nose.
