Tinted moisturiser that isn't basically a foundation

I've been looking for absolutely ages for a tinted moisturiser that's actually just a tint of colour. All the ones I've tried are just as much coverage as a foundation and I'm starting to wonder if one even exists?

I genuinely don't care if it's £5 or £50 but hoping someone on here can recommend something!

Origins is good, had spf too. It's neutral but somehow makes your skin more even toned.

Try Trinny London, the BFF skin protector. Has SPF. Starts off as a white cream but then somehow magically matches your skin tone and evens everything out. I have really oily skin and it seems to help with that as well.

Clinique do a good one and No7, I use both. I'd say the No7 is lighter on the skin

CombatBarbie · 01/01/2025 13:35

I really like the garner one, also has spf in it.

Pixie skin tint

AnotherVice · 01/01/2025 13:36

Or use your preferred moisturiser and tint it with a bit of your foundation? You can adapt the ratios at will then.

Sparkletastic · 01/01/2025 13:39

Glossier skin tint is what you are looking for

DancingFerret · 01/01/2025 13:39

Nivea and L'Oreal both have tinted moisturisers with SPF in their ranges.

xyz111 · 01/01/2025 13:41

I have this one. It's not enough coverage for me but I love the texture, so probably be perfect for what you're looking for.

I've used NARS Pure Radiant tinted moisturiser for years. I like that it gives a hint of colour and coverage, while looking natural and dewy.

I do tend to use a moisturiser underneath as my skin is a bit on the dry side, but nothing fancy, I find the cheap Simple moisturisers good.

Garnier BB cream? Don't think it has SPF though.

ChardonnaysBeastlyCat · 01/01/2025 13:54

Lisa Eldridge is the best I’ve tried.

piscofrisco · 01/01/2025 13:57

ilia skin tint serum. I love it!

MuttsNutts · 01/01/2025 14:02

Garner BB cream. Been using it for ages. Goes on silky just like a light moisturiser and evens out skin tone without feeling heavy or claggy.

Garnier BB cream? Don't think it has SPF though.

It has SPF15.

standardduck · 01/01/2025 14:06

Lumene skin tint. It's very very light.

minipie · 01/01/2025 14:07

The Erborian CC cream in the silver tube is very light coverage, nowhere near a foundation. The Erborian BB cream (white tube) has a little more coverage but still light.

La Roche Posay tinted moisturiser is excellent and feels very light, just like a plain moisturiser but it doesn’t have SPF.

I like NARS tinted moisturiser but it is quite pigmented so might be too foundation-y for you.

WayDownThere · 01/01/2025 14:07

I use Bare Minerals tinted moisturiser.

ThejoyofNC · 01/01/2025 14:08

Aaah so many suggestions! Off I go to Google them all. Thanks so much everyone, clearly I wasn't looking hard enough!

Also came to recommend NARS

Lisa Eldridge skin tint is fantastic, and also her team are fab when you message them asking for help with shades. Really responsive and genuinely helpful

Catinabox21 · 01/01/2025 20:17

Has anyone tried both Trinny London BFF and Lisa Eldridge? I absolutely love BFF but have heard great things about the LE tint.

RampantIvy · 01/01/2025 20:22

@ThejoyofNC I also found that most "tinted moisturisers" were more like a foundation until I went to a beauty counter in Flannels that sold Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser. The sales assistant colour matched a tinted moistursier that was exactly the same shade as my skin I love it. It also has a high SPF.

NB: I found the no 7 too thick and foundation like, and the Garnier too orange for my pale skin.

ThereTheyGo · 01/01/2025 21:02

Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser is gorgeous. It's your own skin, just a little fresher.
