Mine just arrived...I got a medium bantry b in marine, I love the colour. And a paddington in plum.

Mine have just been delivered - a small Finchley A sustainable in custard and a medium nylon Bantry B in black.

The small Bantry is a good basic bag, and at 10 litres capacity it’s not that small. I didn’t think I’d like the custard colour, but it’s growing on me. It has a grey base as well as grey straps.

Oww that custard is actually a pretty nice shade, not at all what I was anticipating when I read the word custard. 😅

Having watched a TV programme about thieves on Oxford Street unzipping people’s backpacks and taking purses out of them without the owners noticing, I’m always wary of having treasure where I can’t see it.

However, the Finchley A has a separate zipped pocket inside the main zipped section, with that zip covered by the roll down top, so I think a purse in there would be relatively safe.

I got a Bantry B medium but it’s a purple (peri?) which is my least favourite colour and will be going back! Shame as it’s a good size and style

Also a Paddington B small in avocado which I’ll be keeping as I like the colour and style.

Last year I got a Bantry in carbon which is pretty dull but practical. Use it for work. It does fit my laptop, charger, headphones etc but would struggle to squeeze in plastic boxes of leftovers for lunch. I don't think they're very light for work commutes but still tempted as just like to see what I'd get.

The large size says 'waiting for stock' now but allowed me to place an order

The Finchley bags also have a hidden zipped pocket in the side seam at the back.

Just arrived and massively disappointed. First and last time doing this. Crap service from Roka. Back to Sandqvist or Herschel.

I paid for two maxi lucky dips which arrived in one parcel (!) and have got TWO POINTLESS too-small-for-anything Bantrys, one plum, one grey.

Seriously disappointed, I didn’t care about colour, or pattern, type or style. Just so long as a decent enough size. Neither of these are. I’ll now have to pay for return too 😳🙄. Massively fucked off, seriously couldn’t even be bothered to try and get two different products in there?

At no point the chooser/packer when putting two identical mini bag products into one postage parcel did they wonder if it was sensible to mix the sodding products?

Waste of time, and money. Never again. Be warned all those considering!!! AVOID!!!

I love Roka and have 2 rucksack a midi and a maxi which are my pride and joy but I don't think I'd like to just be given something random. Chances are it wouldn't be right ( size/ style/ colour) so I'll wait for the lucky dip stuff to work it's way onto ebay for a bargain methinks

I saw some ROKA backpacks in a shop yesterday and the small ones are a decent size so I'm happy getting one if I don't get a medium. Large is too big but I'll be happy with one

I have a small bantry and was amazed that I can fit my work laptop, charger etc inside. I'm trying to really cut down on how much I carry, so this is ideal for me.

I think the small rucksacks belong in the Midi category really based on size (they do it by value not size) but if they did that they probably wouldn't have enough products to fulfil many of the Maxi lucky dips.

I agree they should have varied the products slightly although I guess some couples would be happy with that pair.

I don't own any Roka bags so if it's a smaller one in an okay colour I'll probably use it for myself even though I'm hoping for a large for DS.

The swap thread was great

I swapped my yellow Paddington B for a blue Paddington B which I use daily and it doesn't get wet in the rain unlike my Uniqlo bag which got soaked this time last year so I've not used it since and luckily had my new ROKA to replace it

I can fit a bottle of water and an umbrella in the Paddington B as it's quite tardis like

Sorry you're disappointed hopefully you can return or swap them with someone on here for something you'd prefer.

I must say though that they are pretty deceptive room wise a bit like Mary Poppins bag. 😅 So they might fit in more than anticipated.

I did end up buying a Herschel backpack in the sales instead of trying my luck again on another ROKA lucky dip last year

Nah, really cannot be bothered. It’s spoilt the whole brand now for me.

I just want my money back.

As ova said, it’s a usual standard trick- brand just looking to pump out its crappy less VFM products onto unsuspecting public.
