I'm not mega disappointed. For the price it's still a lovely bag and I will use it if no one wants to swap for a black one but compared to all the other colours they do it does seem a bit bland. Although I suppose many others feel similarly and that's what they've so many of them left over for the mystery sale.

I've gone for the maxi. Have never done this before so am very excited to see what I get. The only one's I wouldn't want are the city barrel type holdall. Has anyone had any of those? Keeping everything crossed they're not included.

I've decided to stop using my beloved Paddington B this year and swap it for my plum Kennington because I never use the Kennington and it's such a great bag.

Has anyone received a carnaby crossbody bag in the midi lucky dip ?

It's one of their newer styles and I really like the look of it

I’m not sure I’ve seen anyone get a Carnaby XL, this year or last. They’re often not on offer either so must be popular.

I got this email too. It's a cop out as £5 is worthless unless you want ANOTHER bag. It's actually pissed me off

Totally agree. On the FB swap page someone was offered a replacement bag.

I’ve just emailed further feedback to be passed on to a manager/director. I’m totally ok with the lucky dip aspect, and that I might get something I’m not keen on. I’m absolutely not ok with being mis-sold an item.

@MinstrelGirl that is exactly how I feel. I've been mis sold and they should fix that, not offer me a bloody £5 voucher!

I paid for a maxi, waited for my "pop of colour" and got a small bantry B in grey. So neither maxi (I paid before they changed the website), nor colourful.

I've thought about complaining (because I agree, we have been missold on size/price if nothing else) but have decided against it. I don't want a big duffel style bag or a massive holdall, and whilst a larger rucksack style is kind of what I expected, I have other larger rucksacks so a smaller one that can be used as a city bag is OK. And I definitely don't want something in camo, or dirty yellow, or bright pink, so at least grey - whilst unexciting - is usable!

But this would put me off doing this again.

They are really not good at this, are they. In previous years it was their mistake to call them small, medium and large dips when they do small, medium and large backpacks.

I've also been offered the £5 voucher and free return - but do I chance it again to end up with a legitimate small boring shade (not colour!) of bantry?

I ordered a maxi on boxing day and also got a small black bantry b. I was disappointed as it's too small for me but didn't realise it was less than £59.95 until I read this thread. Have always been happy with lucky dip in the past but will complain this time.

I love their Lucky Dip, hence starting this thread, but this has really pissed me off. A black Bantry B is not on, and that's what I got

Did they say no to a Lucky Dip refund? Their website seems to be saying they will give a refund but customer pays a £3.99 return free.

I also ordered on Boxing Day/Thursday morning and not had a dispatch email yet! I ordered a maxi so will see if I get a small black rucksack of some variety 😂

Been waiting for payday before taking a punt, but looks like the main item people (judging by the influx in Vinted!) are getting from the maxi dips are the small Bantrys which is not useful for me, so may abstain this time.

Seems to be similar on here too. Only a handful have got something that's not a small Bantry, hopefully others get something a bit more exciting or at least a more exciting colour than black or grey. 😅

I ordered Thursday also - International Delivery to Ireland. It says on the Shop app 'Preparing Shipment'.

I actually don’t mind black/grey, I’ve got a few bright coats 😂

I'm the opposite. Dull coats all the way here so a bright bag would have added some much needed colour to my usual daily look. 😅
