I have re-bought the Agent Nateur Holi Oil from Vinted, my skin always feel so soft and healthy the day after using it. it was in the Liberty calendar.
@Branster The Mintd boxes look really good but I really don’t need anything more so trying to sit on my hands.

@Thelifeofawife I had a Bobby Brown vitamin enriched serum in my Jarrolds 12 days of Xmas calendar and it's SO nice that I bought another one on Vinted even though it's the last thing I need. It feels really lovely and smells gorgeous. I really went overboard with calendars this year, but I think the Jarrolds was my overall favourite.

I am a beauty advent addict and I have a confession , I noticed Harvey Nichols had another one in stock and ordered it . So much for the I watch I was saving up for !

Did anyone get an email from the BBCompany ? £15 for a box of either make up, haircare or skincare. You couldn't choose. If I didn't have plenty already I might have chanced it - but it's still £5.00 postage and the code I was sent with one of my orders won't work.

I had the email but I didn't order because I couldn't choose which box I wanted. I don't think I've ever managed to get one of BBC's codes to work.

If I could've chosen I would have bought the make up one. I'm not adventurous with colour but as far as I remember I've kept and used all the make up that I've had before. The single eyeshadows and the lipsticks have been especially lovely for me.
I'm not sure that these are going to shift. They sound good - but no choice puts me off. I have plenty of haircare already to use and yes I could gift if I wasn't lucky but I'm not risking it this time.
Free postage and I would've bought.

@GentlemanJack I agree they should have let you chose which one, I have too much skincare and Haircare stuff so would have also gone for a makeup one and agree about the free postage.
They are looking like DFS lately with a new mystery bag every week and think they are launching something again tomorrow.

I saw that that is described as 'intimate' oil - am I right in thinking it's for either your face or your, er.....

@IDontHateRainbows I think they do an intimate oil and was in one of the edits last year. I did just go and double check, the calendar included the ageless face serum…at £115 for 30ml that is an expensive intimate oil 😂😂

I didn't order from BBC either because I probably already had the mystery items from previous boxes; it was their January sale to make room for new stock. I will admit that I was very tempted and would have purchased 2 as pot luck and not fussed if it was hair, skin or makeup, the price is very good.
Also having spent so much money on Mintd boxes and the 2 Hearst magazines ones halfway through January, I must reign it it a bit 😁
I'm not ordering the new one from tomorrow either as I'm still a bit sceptical from all the experiences shared on here before Christmas.

I got the emails from BBC but I think I'm done for now with mystery box type stuff. They've all been disappointing with the exception of the Tatcha lucky bag (which wasn't really mystery because the did reveal the contents at launch).

I've also managed to talk myself out of many edits and GWPs that have been released so far - a few were a struggle to say no to!

I had a ball last year trying loads of stuff and picking up edits and calendars but I think this year as well as working through the stash if I do buy anything it needs to be considered targeted purchases rather than a box of stuff where I want a couple of things and the rest are surplus. Difficult because some of these boxes are bargains but I've reached a tipping point where any more stuff will start to feel suffocating until I've used a chunk of it up.

Famous last words and all that because edits are like catnip to me. 😂

Well Harvey Nichols cancelled the order as no advents left. Probably for the best 😂

@kerstina Not to be an influencer but Cult Beauty scented with love adven was in stock yesterday and you could 10% off and it triggered the gift with purchase. I had my basket ready but decided I really didn’t need any of it so didn’t check out x

I have a plan not to buy more stuff until at least the autumn but I do enjoy considered edits and mystery boxes in equal measure.
I know I have tons of stuff, I know my AC is sorted already from my January buys, I know I have to pay my tax bill next week and the multi car and home insurance the week after so I know I'll be really good for a maximum of 3 weeks.
No idea what will happen afterwards but I will really rearrange really try my best to abstain from any more buying of boxes.

@Branster We're only a few weeks into January so I don't think I've proved myself just yet!

I’ve joined the Beauty Drop to fund my calendar and will take Liberty whatever the contents. And I am using up my giant stocks all year. It’s going to be a no spend year for me.

I think I'm about a third of a way to a calendar in my Beauty Drop account. I'm hoping Liberty do a good one this year because I feel like Space NK was best this year followed by Cult Beauty.

I have given myself some leeway in case I really don't like Liberty and given myself permission to buy a different one and spend the BD vouchers on xmas presents.

I almost purchased the Harvey Nichols beauty AC a few days ago, had it sat in my basket but each time I looked at it I just thought there’s only a few things I really want out of it, and although it would have been a good way to try some new fragrances, I don’t feel there’s enough full size beauty products to justify it

Boots have the Christmas beauty box reduced to £57 at the minute and some other Christmas box type things.

Thanks @IDontHateRainbows Despite having purchased 3 edits across Jan from Cult and Beauty Bay I was still disappointed when I clicked and saw the boots box had sold out 🙈🙈🙈🙈 like I need anymore anyway after all the stuff I got from advent calendars 🙈🙈🙈🙈 I think I might need to move over to the beauty addicts thread…….

Had an Aldi email today, it looks like they have 2 hair products that I think are K18 dupes in their special offers.

I am absolutely loving my Vicky B eyeliner and CT eyeshadow dupes from Aldi. The Elemis stuff is fake collagen so I assume does nothing at all - feels nice going on though.

I bought the hair care products on Sunday, have not tried either yet but also never tried K18 to compare to.
Agree re the CT palettes, am enjoying mine as well

So I couldn’t resist the Ok beauty offer yesterday of the dr Ejikeme box for £30 and as I was checking out Ok Beauty offered me a mega mystery box (26 products worth £570 17 of which are full size) for £50. A quick google and that was the description of their advent calendar… so I bought it . There is the outside chance it is not the advent but some other random collection but pretty sure from the description it is. So looks like I have got myself another advent for February which I really didn’t need 😬
So if anyone is tempted it’s worth checking out you need to buy another box at the same time but they have been having quite good flash offers if you are on their email address recently

@Puravida23 Sounds like you got a fab deal on the boxes, let us know if the mystery box was indeed the advent calendar.
