Hearst Magazines have reduced the beauty boxes. I have no explanation for this, but I ordered the Harpers Bazaar and Red versions.

Thanks @MrsBnow12

I'm glad we now know what's in them. I'm only interested in the dewy serum from the £200 bag so I think I can rule that out which is a good thing.

I'm surprised that the cleansing balm wasn't in them but @BlueLimeRun now knows she can purchase without duplicating.

I've bought a full size dewy serum and travel size dewy mist for £109 as both are things I wanted to try.

MrsBnow12 · 09/01/2025 16:41

@OvaHere I am also really glad they showed the contents although it didn’t alter my basket as I wanted a lip mask so now have a spare.
I also got the full size dewy mist and the mini dewy cleanser and cream to take on holiday…managed to keep it to £104.

I'm really relieved I wasn't tempted into spending £200. The £100 spend was still naughty but I do like all the products in that bag despite only the lip mask being full size. Happy the Silk Cream is in there as I wanted to try that one.

BlueLimeRun · 10/01/2025 16:57

@MrsBnow12 @OvaHere sounds like the offer really worked out well for you both. I’m going to take a look now. I might try to abstain - I’ve so much stuff but I love Tatcha products (addict).

I've noticed the US have a lot more products than we have available here. I've spotted an Indigo day cream and the new range of Vit C seems to have launched there. I suppose they will arrive here eventually.

Interesting ! I’ll be visiting in the Soring and will definitely pop in Sephora.

Update from my order from Hearst magazine, I'm very impressed with the Harpers Bazaar box I got at the sale offer price. Beautiful presentation and really nice products. I must remember to buy again when they next have a new edit in the sales. I also ordered the Red magazine beauty box, only because it was an excellent price. On its own it is a very good edit and great value too, but not as beautifully presented as the Harpers Bazaar one. No regrets buying both.

I'm waiting on delivery of a reasonably sized (to me) order from Mintd, having been persuaded by the reduced prices, a free gift with purchase and a 5% off voucher. Still expensive though compared to other boxes, no denying that. I worked out this order will have 28 items at around £11.50/each. Good value in theory, but this is actually a lot, lot more per item than my usual purchases through beauty boxes. On the plus side I definitely absolutely like the majority of products.

Planning on mixing up all of the above for my December AC, sell or gift any excess and get DH to hide the lot until 1st December so I can forget all about it.

I don't want to buy anything else apart from toothpaste and soap for another year. The only potential purchase might be the big Christmas box from BBC in November if they will do it again. They have been brilliant boxes the last two years but I haven't yet decided if they are worth my money again after all the dreadful stories on here. They are in the dog house for now.

I've completely gone off LiB, they don't appeal to me at all anymore and I'm not tempted by any other companies right now. Maybe I'm temporarily cured of beauty boxes.

MrsBnow12 · 11/01/2025 21:26

Both The Harpers Bazaar and Red boxes looked really good value and I like the idea of putting stuff away for a DIY advent. I may do something similar this year, as much as I loved the advents I thought some of the beauty boxes and edits had more things I would use and not as many DOD’s.
I am also on the fence re BBC after the fiasco late last year, I was delighted with the Christmas Box I got and wonder if they will do it again.
I am all stocked up after my Tatcha order and really do not need anything else, I still have my Lookfantastic subscription and the Liberty beauty drop so hope that scratches the itch and stops me buying things I don’t really need.

Waffles21 · 12/01/2025 20:37

Thanks so much for the Tatcha tip, I’ve wanted to try their night cream for ages so the extras def made it worth buying!

Is anyone doing the Tatcha fukubukuro this year? I only just found out about this and I'm torn because I'm supposed to be on a low/no buy until the summer but I also really like Tatcha. 😈

It starts on the 10th Jan this year and the premise is spend £100 get a free £100 lucky bag or £200 to get a £200 lucky bag. Link below gives an idea of what people got in previous years.

https://www.reddit.com/r/BeautyBoxes/search/?q=fukubukuro&cId=918e9fb1-8112-4d97-a271-2e3a5eb7d2c5&iId=1487ddd4-9ae2-4d14-8742-2d76815b79d5

I can feel I'm probably going to get one and I'm mad at myself in advance for being so weak willed. Send help! 😂

Not me! I am sad to say after using Tatcha for about 13 years - which was an absolute nightmare to buy in the early days - I’ve gone off them now. Just don’t reach for any of it anymore based on quality and performance compared with alternatives, apart from the setting spray (which I’ve got a stock of).

AmateurExpertSkincare · 13/01/2025 23:36

also know it’s not exclusively a setting spray but it’s always my last step in my makeup routine after a ‘proper’ setting spray and it will be my forever combo forever.

I love the Heart Mag boxes too depending on the year and what my supply is, last years Harpers I got for £114 I think and it had a 75ml Ultimune in & 30 ml Eve Lom retinol so on value I couldn’t miss it!!

MrsBnow12 · 14/01/2025 07:43

@AmateurExpertSkincare Do you use the dewy mist as the last step in your routine? I am always looking for better ways to set my makeup and had not thought to use this.

AmateurExpertSkincare · 14/01/2025 08:00

@MrsBnow12 Indeed :) I have used it this way only for years now as I don’t like the finish it gives on my bare skin (only because I end up looking like the moon with everything else underneath). I layer it on top of whatever actual setting spray I’ve used (currently on Charlotte Tilbury that I got as a gift and seems to have lasted for centuries), I like the finish and fine layer of skincare on top of all the products then. The only time it is not the absolute last step is if I end up too glowy that day whether from my skincare, the way my make up has ended or a combination of the two. On those occasions I’ll put a little bit of powder foundation over the top which still gives a lovely finish. If I wasn’t on the dry side I’d probably do it all the time. It does depend on your skin though as I know some oilier people using it like that can be hit and miss.

Apologies for the awful spelling on posts, I’ve no idea what’s going on with the autocorrect on my phone. Aside from correcting to alternate words I don’t want it to, it’s correcting right words to misspelled ones and also random words in my sentences are going missing 🤷🏻‍♀️

MrsBnow12 · 14/01/2025 18:15

@AmateurExpertSkincare Thanks very much for the detailed explanation, I will give that a try and see if it helps. I don’t have oily skin so think it could work and I probably need to lay off the powder as don’t need much x

Cult beauty advent calendar is back in stock plus 15% off….. don’t know why I am tempted given its the middle of Jan 🙈🙈🙈🙈

IDontHateRainbows · 17/01/2025 06:29

Amazingly, Harvey Nick's ACs showing back in stock so I nabbed one as missed out first time around.

OvaHere · 17/01/2025 06:38

Returned Xmas gifts I'm assuming but it is a bit random to just come back into stock.

MrsBnow12 · 17/01/2025 06:50

The HN fragrance is also showing as back in stock.

Pickled21 · 17/01/2025 07:02

The Lookfantastic beauty vault is also back in stock. I can't see the 15% off with the Cult beauty advent calendar otherwise I'd be tempted to get it and keep it for next year. I am doing jadvent and currently opening the John Lewis advent calendar.

IDontHateRainbows · 17/01/2025 07:31

I may have nabbed the last HN, now showing as OOS. Hopefully my.order will be fulfilled....
