If you're under 150lbs does 7lbs make a difference to the fit of your trousers?

I know that's a strange question but I tried on some size 12 trousers in store and they fit but were baggy at the waist, I tried a 10 on and they fit.
I ordered a few more pairs in other colours.

I wore them properly for the first time today and I feel like they might be a bit tight on me right now (when sitting down etc) but I'm still actively loosing weight and I'm half a stone away from my goal.

Do you think they'll fit better when I'm at goal? I've taken the tags off one pair but I have another 3 pairs in a 10 with tags on

But the 12s felt baggy and I was 3lbs heavier when I tried them on so another 7lbs will surely make them too big??

I've spent my birthday money on these 4 pairs of trousers!

Yep.. 7 pounds is easily the difference between ' feel good in these' and 'I feel like a hippo' for me Grin Partly psychological of course, but 7 pounds means my jeans pinch at the button, -7 ..comfy! (I vary between 9 stone 2- 9 stone 9)

Currently weigh 10.7 stone. Usually 10. All of my jeans are uncomfortably tight on the waist. TBF I’m menopausal and all of my weight is in my belly

@pepperaunt It’s lovely how any weight settles around your middle at a certain age, isn’t it?! I’m 50 and if I gain a couple of pounds, they gravitate straight to the middle. 😂

Definitely -the smaller you are, the greater the difference when you lose a few more lbs.
