Christmas jumper

butmumineedit · 24/11/2024 12:56

Hi All

I am after a Christmas jumper or T shirt that is V necked as am large breasted and round necks do nothing for me.

Budget is £40 , I work in a school so can't be a rude message but if it had a double meaning would possibly be ok

I suit jewel colours as am a winter colouring person

Am losing the will to live looking at lots of sites to find one.
Thank you

Try Lidl

Letmegohome · 24/11/2024 14:38

There are loads in the charity shops , because they are awful, usually under a tenner. who needs a new acrylic jumper to wear for a few weeks? Yay overconsumption of Christmas tat !

Christmasdreaming · 24/11/2024 14:40

Peacocks do some nice ones

ZZGirl · 24/11/2024 14:41

Vinted!

Bah humbug!

Octavia64 · 24/11/2024 14:49

I have a v necked cashmere one with stars on.

Not obviously Christmas but is nice.

Peacocks actually have a lot that is good at the moment.

M and S also have a pretty decent selection.

Hmm. Having just looked they're all Crew necks this year. M and S do have a v necked one but it's out of your budget.

Letmegohome · 24/11/2024 14:49

@Heidi2018 I'm fine with that, I'll stick to my nice quality wearable any time jumper

GonnaBeYoniThisChristmas · 24/11/2024 15:00

For £40 you can buy a nice merino red or green sweater from Uniqlo and just hang some baubles round your neck. Use the jumper all year. Definitely don’t spend £40 on a Christmas jumper!!

MadameBethune · 24/11/2024 15:05

Vinted definitely

Christmas jumper
Silvertulips · 24/11/2024 15:06

Shein do Tshirts and thin jumpers £7

Also hoodies!

No need to spend a fortune.

Bah humbug!

There's nothing "bah humbug" about it.

If the OP is a teacher it would be a very worthwhile lesson for her pupils to know she actively sought out and recycled a Christmas jumper from a charity shop rather than spending up to £40 on new cheap Chinese tat.

Letmegohome · 24/11/2024 15:12

@Silvertulips like shein "don't spend a fortune " on their staff , but everyone needs cheap Chinese Christmas t shirt thin jumper or hoodie
Please feel free to Google /educate yourself to how shein treat the workers

Ok I don't care if this is "bah humbug" but promoting cheap, one off wear tat from Shein is terrible advice.

I don't like Christmas jumpers but that's quite cute, ticks all the boxes and is a far more ethical solution than buying new. Good find.

Once off? A jumper worn once a year, every year for 10 years is better than spending £40 from a UK store that purchased their stock from Shein in the first place.

Lots of workers are treated badly. They are still market leaders -

Or the OP could follow the sensible advice and buy it from a charity shop or Vinted.

butmumineedit · 24/11/2024 17:45

Thank you for all your comments nice and horrible.

Am currently stalking on Vinted right now, love the Rudolph one and the children will love it as well.

It will get plenty of wear this year and the next few years .
