Is this bag nice?

I wanted to treat myself to a nice bag because I have recently reached a personal milestone. So I bought myself this Coach bag. I'm not normally a fan of Coach at all, but a (much younger!) cousin of mine was carrying it recently and I just haven't been able to stop thinking about it. I remember she said it was "going viral on tiktok" (I don't have tiktok so hadnt come across it). I really like the patent brown-ness of it and I don't usually like big logos but I feel like the C in the logo isn't that common (I could be really wrong here as I am just not that familiar with coach bags).

I just bought the bag online and am now wondering is it something that is supposed to be for much younger girls? Does it look tacky? Have I lost my mind 😂

I am 35 FWIW and these days looking like a very frazzled overweight mum of a toddler ie. not at all cool or svelte etc. To give an example of what I would like my style to be: I carry bags like the mulberry bayswater (I would love a bag from Celine but can't justify the price) or would like to dress like the models on the Sezane website (when I lose some weight).

When would you use it OP? Too small for daily use with a toddler.

Coach tend to be decent bags, it’s a classic colour and a shape/size that will work for a variety of different occasions. (Although could you get a kindle in it? This would be the deal breaker for me!) is it the Tabby bag?

so if you like it, then it’s a good choice for a smaller bag that’s not a complete “going out bag” but could double up as a going out bag if it’s not too formal an occasion. The cross body option makes it’s toddler friendly (needing free hands) but the shoulder strap means you can carry it in a more “now” way.

If don’t have anything like this, it’s a good choice. I’d be tempted myself but I have several good quality small cross body bags, and while a shoulder strap would be nice, I can’t justify the need for another bag.

It's pretty classic ,I don't like the big C.

If you are asking yourself it's normally not meant to be.
Also, is it a style of bag that you use? Over the years I have purchased hand held bags but I am a shoulder or tote bag wearer so that's what I go for now.

I don't think age comes into it, but I get the impression you're buying for the lifestyle you want rather than the lifestyle you have. Be honest with yourself, when would you actually use that bag?

It's not for me, not at all my style. But...so much about bags (and any accessory really) is how the person wears it. Their overall style and how put together they look. Kind of like how supermodels could wear a garbage bag and still look good (exaggerating but you know what I mean).

It's the Tabby and well liked in certain circles. Bags are a very personal choice eg I hate anything which has the logo all over it. The large C is a recent change and I don't think it's unlike eg the Aigner buckle or the Gucci one. I think it's the colour on this one I'm not keen on . I prefer the black.

I don't like it but I have a few Coach bags and they're great in general. It doesn't matter what others think. Get it, if you love it.

I saw a YouTube video from a bag enthusiast and she said that now coach is about the maximum level it's worth buying

@NCMJ I prefer this colour but I think the pictures you have given don't show it off at its best, I disliked it on sight but having looked on other websites and seeing how it sits on the models I do like it and im not really a fan of coach. You say its even prettier in real life so keep it and enjoy it, I'm sure it looks wonderful on you. A well deserved treat 😊

I’m 44 and think it’s too old for me. Looks like a little old lady would carry it.

Obviously the quality wouldn't be as good, but it'd a great buy as a little gift for someone at Christmas, or even a spare!

Anyway, back to your lovely bag -I think you should buy what you like, it's you who will be wearing it . It looks ideal for grabbing on the way out in the morning,I may take a look myself!
