My sister needs an AMAAAAZING wedding outfit

She is in her 20s and Kylie-sized and needs a fabulous dress for a wedding v v soon (for various reasons she really really needs to look fab) - dress will be a bday present from family so budget less important than fabulousness. She has been shopping, been on net-a-porter and similar but can't find anything at all. Anyone seen anything lovely?

Velvet - too hot?

S1ur · 27/04/2008 21:34

red again

Shall I stop with the scarlet? What is budget?

Pillow · 27/04/2008 21:37

OK - I have figured out that I can email her the links without getting her on here. So - she is in late 20s, has been with brother of groom for 8 or so years and no talk of engagement. Brother of groom met bride 18 months ago, bish bash bosh wedding. So she is a tad sensitive around the whole wedding prep stuff, keeps getting asked when it will be her turn etc etc. Wants to look stunning, just from a self-esteem point of view.

Oh poor girl.

this is over budget but I love it so thought I'd share

heh. Not karen miller then

Pillow · 27/04/2008 21:45

Sorry, groom met bride 18 months ago. Brother of groom is sister's other half.

Pillow · 27/04/2008 21:46

Slur, that's goooorgeous. But do you think it's wedding dressy?

OP posts:
S1ur · 27/04/2008 21:47

more simple?

Pillow · 27/04/2008 21:47

Ha! Not that brave!

This is fab if she has boobs or has a good enhancing bra

I know it is sooo lovely. Says its light green though looks very white to me...

TillyScoutsmum · 27/04/2008 21:49

Blimey Slur - flashing her bits might well get a proposal

Stupidly over budget but stunning

lovely

pretty

S1ur · 27/04/2008 21:51

got to go in a minute

ANnoying because I can't find this one dress I was looking for. It was very short though...

Pillow · 27/04/2008 21:55

Tilly, how lovely is the stupidly over budget one!! But they put the wrong shoes with it, I think

Just checking back and bah still can't find it.

there this, is a bit wow but is she London based?

Have you suggested she try getting a dress made for her? With that budget and enough time she could get a custom made amazing dress exactly fitting her.

TillyScoutsmum · 27/04/2008 22:03

God yes - the shoes are minging

If your sister is a size 10, teeny Kylie thing with big norks - her boyfriend must be insane not to have popped the question

Hope you get something sorted

Pillow · 27/04/2008 22:03

Ah Slur but she has 3 weeks or something. I don't know why she's left it so late, I think she thought with her budget she'd be sure to find something.

I have been shopping for weeks for a perfect dress (admittedly with a muchmuch smaller budget) It is Hard.

Hope it goes brilliantly for her.

Pillow · 27/04/2008 22:19

Tilly I know!! She is actually a small size 8 with big norks and lovely lovely looking. And the loveliest person. And blonde. Naturally. Would hate her if she wasn't my sister. A bit slavishly devoted to this bloke who is not always nice to her. He is mad, really. But what can you do?

TillyScoutsmum · 27/04/2008 22:21

TillyScoutsmum · 27/04/2008 22:22

She sounds gorgeous

Pillow · 27/04/2008 22:24

Slur was it not you who posted a picture of you a fantabulous bluey-purple dress for your very own wedding? Looking AMAZING? With norkage to die for? I LOVED that dress!! And your HOUSE!!! If that was not you I am sorry for crap memory...
