I've stalking the Chintia and Parker website for their new Christmas jumpers and they have arrived! I'd love nearly everyone of them, but will be ordering at least 3!!

I knew someone posted about these overpriced horrors last year… I think you should declare whatever interest you have in this company OP. Though I am glad you’ve clearly had a good year financially, as you’re considering 3 this year

This is some TOP notch detective work - bravo! I'm glad the mystery is solved, nobody could actually like these horrors.

I hate the "read the room", " there's a cost of living crisis" brigade... 😠

  1. this is Style and Beauty, not Money matters
  2. Guess what..... not everyone is suffering!! People are allowed to like and buy more expensive items. 🙄
Edited

Will happily pay for quality made items… 10% cashmere and they look like this? No thanks.

BESTAUNTB · 24/10/2024 20:55

Well I still like the Snoopy one 😆 🤷‍♀️

Reminds me of a t shirt I had in the late 1970s.

Tacky words and classic cartoon characters is literally the Primark aesthetic, people aren’t being hyperbolic or mean. The White Company ones someone posted are more what I’d expect for an expensive/stylish Christmas jumper, if that’s a thing at all.

stylish Christmas jumper, if that’s a thing at all.

It's an oxymoron.

Well you've certainly made the brand memorable for me. If I'm looking for new mid price range knitwear I'll remember to avoid Chinti and Parker like the plague.

OP doesn't sound mature enough to be menopausal but clear thinks mumnets is peak menopausal marketing ground!

Very poor attempt at marketing/spamming.

Thudercatsrule · 24/10/2024 21:12

Omg i love it. This is MN at its finest, had a great laugh with my DH and DK about the bitter replies. Will make a great story for my next luncheon and dinner event, so thank you, screen shots will be v v amusing while the bol flows, love it, free entertainment xx

Poor spelling too (unless the typo in the username is deliberate 😆). Definitely intern territory with this one.

oh darling. really, thats all you have. dont be bitter, get to Primark

Hello marketing team

My thoughts too...lighthearted before someone gets offended and reports my post😉

They are awful and over-priced. One of my favorite Christmas jumpers is from Asda George and was around £15. Lovely quality and after five years is still going strong.

BodyKeepingScore · 24/10/2024 21:23

@Thudercatsrule seriously... know when to give a thing up

Bodeganights · 24/10/2024 21:23

JaninaDuszejko · 24/10/2024 18:35

I'm not a Christmas jumper person but they are OK and are a wool cashmere mix so no plastic which is good. Unlike all the cheap and nasty ones.

I'm also surprised at all the 'all that money for 3 weeks' comments. Surely you just wash it, put it in the cupboard, then pull it out next year and the year after that etc etc until you've got a decent cost per wear. And that applies if you buy a cheap jumper or an expensive one (gold star to the PP who buys hers at a charity shop then regifts next year).

I'm not a Christmas jumper type of person either (I have three Christmas tshirts that I rotate, no one remembers what you wore last year) but for £300 and maybe wearing it 4 or 5 times a year, at my age I'll have to hand it down the family to get a decent cost per wear.

I'm not keen on any in the OP, most specifically that sophie Ellis bextor one. That is not imo a Christmas theme and not very nice. Bugger all thought went into 'designing' it.

Lolopolo · 24/10/2024 21:26

OP is on the wine.

Luncheon event 😂

pizzaHeart · 24/10/2024 21:33

AllThePotatoesAreSingingJingleBells · 24/10/2024 14:40

Very nice. Far too minimalist for me. I don’t see the point in wearing a Christmas jumper if it doesn’t make other people embarrassed to be seen with me.

Agree with this ^

Galatine · 24/10/2024 21:34

Nothing on this earth would persuade me to wear a Christmas jumper!

TheChosenTwo · 24/10/2024 21:34

Oh @Lostthetastefordahlias you’ve made my day 😂

All novelty clothing is ghastly, I won’t wear anything with a character or a slogan, dreadful!

She said she was on 46K a few weeks ago.

Melancholyflower · 24/10/2024 21:49

I'm not in the habit of looking at people's previous posts, but after someone else found last year's post about the jumpers I was interested to see if the OP posted about anything else.

ForGreyKoala · 24/10/2024 21:49

Every year I'm so thankful I live in a country where Christmas jumpers aren't a thing 😅What a shocking waste of money - I don't care how wealthy you are it's ridiculous.
