So Camilla does have a form of pneumonia. My mother had this. Absolutely exhausted so went to GP who diagnosed her. There's a lot of it about this winter.

A few more pics of Kate (I like the outfit with the exception of the hat) and Camilla arriving for the start of the state visit.
Meanwhile Max is in London for a financial go frrr dd wearing a midnight blue sparkly trouser suit.

Max was at a financial conference, that should say.
Sofia is on the cover of Vogue for her 40th, and Leti was at a disability conference in Madrid.

Sofia is stunning, and he’s good looking too so I guess it figures they would have beautiful kids.
As a former glamour model and reality TV star, she came in for a lot of flak when she married into the royal family.

Princess Sofia looks really beautiful in these pictures. I'm guessing they were taken a few months ago as her 4th child is due in February. Probably taken in the summer or early autumn, near her hometown of Älvdalen judging by the background.

Good to see Camilla recovered from her illness although she looks a bit pasty (unsurprisingly). I don't think that shade of red is really Camilla's colour but she really rocks the huge jewels for state events. Someone must have told the Emir's wife that Buckingham Palace is freezing as she wore a velvet cape over her evening gown.

Also Kemi at her first state banquet in a dress that seemed rather informal for a state event and didn't fit too well

The Emir’s wife’s dress is quite impressive and I love the colour. Although in this photo she does look a little like she is channelling her inner Anne Boleyn 😆

Buckingham Palace is probably a bit of a dump compared to what the emir and his wife are used to!

I quite like Cams red gown. That claret coloured gown and cape are fabulous! The colour is so sumptuous.
Sensible to rug up too, these old palaces get rather draughty and cold (so I hear)😆

The thing I have realised from this thread is the importance of having ready to wear clothes properly fitted for you.

Plus good foundation garments 😂. I always remember being told that when I was in my 20s when buying a posh frock from Fenwick’s.

First time for that tiara and, as always, the Queen does it justice.

I'm not sure I like it in tandem with the necklace, though. Bit too much, somehow.

I really liked Catherine's burgundy outfit. Even though it's not terribly exciting, it was beautifully put together. The bag and gloves...just lovely. And her perfect boots.

(not really a tandem as there were earrings as well...but you know what I mean)

All the royal ladies have been awarded the Family Order. We have yet to see Catherine wear it but I imagine she's been given it too.

The Duchess of Gloucester wore some fabulous jewels.

Kemi should have known better than to go to that kind of event with bare arms.

Kemi's dress just didn't fit properly. Her clothes normally do.

It really made her stand out, and not in a good way, that everyone else had long sleeves or bolero jackets whereas she rocked up showing a lot of skin. Even Victoria Beckham seemed to get the memo.

I always think Camilla needs a good bra. Everything needs hoiking up.

A bra fitter once said to me " you are shallow" meaning because the old, large breasts have gone South, there is quite a bit of flat bit before they start!

She looks a similar shape to me. Yes, hoik upwards.

He must be very tall?

Charles looks like the Lord High Executioner with that sword. 😂

What is the significance of the sword? I don't think I've seen photos of him with it in previous state visits so I assume it's something culturally specific to Qatar.

Kemi is an attractive woman, she could look amazing. She needs a stylist. I like Cams dress, but do agree about the underpinning

Kemi's dress is too unstructured and drapey both for her figure and the event. Plus it's a summery colour so stands out against all the burgundies and blacks. And the arms also are not right for the season and occasion.

I can't believe she found that in a shop in December. I can believe someone taking care of her diary now she is leader of the opposition just booked in 'State Banquet' without thinking she would need time to find something to wear and she only found out about the banquet on Monday morning when going through her diary for the week. That dress was the best thing she could find in her wardrobe (or her friends') with 24 hours notice.

Don't understand Kemi Badenoch's dress - she attended a previous state banquet in June so knows the appropriate dress code
