Oh goodness I totally agree! Maxima is perfect as she is!!

I think it's just the trowelled-on makeup. Madeleine looks much more like herself on her Instagram.

Good Lord, the world’s most hideous sculpture that Max unveiled was enough to give her nightmares.
Victoria puts me in mind of a flight attendant while marking the 100th anniversary of the Women’s Voluntary Defence Organisation.

That's not a great uniform.
Princess Anne wears uniforms with such aplomb. Hats with plumes help, though.

A plume would definitely help as her suit bears more than a passing resemblance to BA cabin crew…

That is a terrible outfit on CPV. Looks like cheap fabric, badly made and a poor fit. Probably much like most uniforms tbh.

I suspect Princess Anne and the other Royals have their uniforms tailored.

The only thing that uniform has going for it is the short skirt and CPV has great legs.

All our forces officers dress uniforms are tailored to fit. Not just the Royals. And they are most certainly not cheap 😆

Even as a part time reserve who his not an officer DH gets his uniform tailored.

Apologies @smilesy and @Runningupthecurtains - I meant more a typical 'high street' uniform (of which I've had the misfortune to wear many cheap, poorly designed versions) rather than a British Forces uniform. Didn't mean to offend.

No offence taken. There was a fascinating programme about Kashket’s, the army’s tailor, made around the time of the coronation. Worth a look if you can find it (I think it was BBC)

Yes, that was such an interesting programme. Kashket family have been doing the uniform embroidery etc for centuries. I liked the bit where they fitted the regimental goat for his coat!

Now, this is a good trouser suit on Leti, from Bleis Madrid. I like the colour and the cut. The trousers aren't baggy, but not skinny and the jacket is very neat.
Felipe well tailored as usual.

It was an amazing programme I caught by accident as was the programmer about the crowns and their linings. The resizing too. Such a responsibility.

I like Leti’s suit but if I was being picky I’d say I’m not wild about the black blouse and shoes, and I prefer Felipe in a darker suit.
Sophie was at a mental health initiative. She had worn the leather dress before apparently but not with this Me+Em top. I wish she’d burn the dress. Just awful.
Her hair looks lovely though and she looks very engaged, as always.

It looks a lot better in this iteration! But I agree, it's really not great.

I actually like both! But I think it's one of those things that just doesn't seem to work very well for Sophie. And I somehow don't think it's appropriate for a work outfit, even though I have no problem with leather skirts for work.
