I've not seen any definite ID.

Oh Lord that ring!! 😍😍 I want that please.

Princess Madeleine and Chris will both attend the Nobel Prize Banquet on 10/12 and will also attend the King's Nobel Dinner the next day.

Madeleine always looks splendid in gown and tiara. No CPV in attendance then?

AllTangledUpInTinselAndTiaras · 06/11/2024 14:26

Yes she does!

The rest of the family will attend as usual (as far as I know) but Madeleine didn't always attend when she lived abroad, and Chris hasn't attended that much. But now that they live in Sweden I suppose it makes it much easier to both attend.

KillingMeDeftIy · 06/11/2024 14:44

Something to look forward to then. The Swedes always give good tiara!

StartupRepair · 06/11/2024 20:10

I think black washes Mary out a bit but the outfit is gorgeous and the ring is fab.

RomainingToBeSeen · 06/11/2024 21:56

William at the Earthshot prize ceremony. Uncle Edward called, he'd like his jacket back please. 😂

Liking his white 'purified' trainers though and particularly like the gold dress that the woman on the left is wearing.

Speaking of big rings, Daisy was wearing a stonker too.
Max is in tweed in Singapore and Mathilde visited a factory - I like her low heeled shoes.

Mathilde even…

Maireas · 06/11/2024 22:36

I actually like William's jacket. It's double breasted, but a good cut and fit.
I will say nothing about the beard. 😕

KillingMeDeftIy · 06/11/2024 22:46

That is a terrible outfit on William, it looks like his lower body is missing!

SqueakyDinosaur · 06/11/2024 22:57

I really don't like the white trainers with that. Something darker would have fitted much better, and a single-breasted jacket. Derek Guy must be FROTHING.

StartupRepair · 07/11/2024 00:58

Tweed is a really weird choice for tropical Singapore.

Lifestooshort71 · 07/11/2024 06:41

Yes, William has failed this time. Don't like the jacket, the beard (🤢) or the white trainers.....perhaps he's missing the 'you really can't go out looking like that, darling!" comments.....

Choux · 07/11/2024 08:02

I loved Mary's black and yellow accents but when checking out the ring I noticed the trousers had splits up the outside of the lower leg. That's a hard no from me.

William apparently got the jacket from a London market (did anyone see him down Petticoat Lane?). This is the same event Kate wore a rented dress to once. Which I don't recall her ever doing again (her wardrobe must be immense) so it's a little 'fake' for either of them to turn up claiming to be leading the way on sustainable clothing choices.

AllTangledUpInTinselAndTiaras · 07/11/2024 08:03

Oh I love the splits!

I'd wear them! Or would have, when I could still wear the heels...

AllTangledUpInTinselAndTiaras · 07/11/2024 08:06

I don't think they've ever claimed that, tbf. They're doing it as a nod to the wider focus of the Earth Shot Prize.

The dress code is 'sustainable' so they can't really rock up in brand new, never to be worn again stuff.

gingercat02 · 07/11/2024 08:13

Just saw William on the news. Surely, the point is to show you can look good/smart/fashionable (delete as required) in more sustainable clothes. Big fail Wills

gingercat02 · 07/11/2024 08:15

Also, an aside but, Heidi Klum being worried about the earth's future for her 4 children. Eh? Don't have 4 kids if you are worried pet!

deeahgwitch · 07/11/2024 08:48

Oh dear, Wills was sooo handsome. The photo of him with Kate at graduation to now 😮
Wish I could do a link.

I like Mathilde's Dior Lady Di bag and shoes but not her outfit.
A fail by Max in the tweed. The fit is wrong for her shape.
Mary is looking very fresh faced. There's a real vibe of "Keep Calm and Carry on" about F&M now, sadly.

AllTangledUpInTinselAndTiaras · 07/11/2024 09:10

Lovely throwback photo.

Eaumyword · 07/11/2024 09:25

Oh dear to Will's outfit. Nothing matches and the white trainers are just sooo white!
Agree that Max's tweed outfit is a fail. Individually, the pieces are nice but together just seem slightly off.

FGSWhatNow · 07/11/2024 09:54

Mathilde's ensemble seems a bit OTT for a factory visit imho. Her outfits often tend towards being overly-formal and (dare I say) a bit stuffy for my taste. I'd love to see her in something more casual / relaxed.

Choux · 07/11/2024 09:56

I probably chose the wrong words when I said 'claiming to be leading the way on sustainable clothing choices'. They dress as per the dress code for the Earthshot event. But it's such a token effort when for the other 364 days their household is buying countless new clothes (much less this year as Kate has been off sick). It's a bit like all the private jets turning up to COP conferences - it smacks a bit of do as I say not as I do.

I get that there are expectations around what royals wear to events especially royal ladies but there aren't many rewears going on for the number of events they do. Mary does do a bit of mix and match separates to keep creating new daytime looks from the same pieces which I think is admirable. But there are so many beautiful things that rarely see the light of day twice.

Probably the wrong thread to be voicing an opinion on sustainable fashion when I am here too wondering what they will wear next and how they will style it. But I appreciate the styling of things more than the obvious consumption.
